Matt's POV: Once I finished in the shower, I smiled when I went to grab my phone. I decided to text my sister to see if she was awake. Wanted to get it done before it got too busy. 'Hey, you up?' My sister then decided to call me instead of texting me back. Answering it, I decided to let her speak first since she was the one that called me. "Hey, Gabby tell you to call me on your way home?" I laughed and just shook my head. "Nope, I am already home. Gabby already filled me in that you called and asked if you could do anything?" Christie agreed. "Yeah, feel back that I didn't do much when it came to Matteo. You helped so much when Violet was born so..."

I sighed and agreed. "Christie, we weren't in a good place back then. We are not going to relitigate it considering I am exhausted. Non-stop calls for this new chief last night." Christie laughed and agreed. "Yeah. But, I am free if you want me to go shopping anytime okay? You have 3 kids, a job that has 24 hour shifts. Oh and your youngest kids are both under 6 months." I sighed and agreed. "And I am still grieving. God, I haven't really cried yet because of everything that's gone on. Between the funeral and everything, it's been a lot to handle. And now, I have to deal with an entire firehouse under my leadership. And my mother-in-law lives with me."

Christie laughed when I said that. "Oh, that sucks. I remember when I had Violet, Jim's mom did that for us and it was fun." I laughed and agreed. "No, it's fun. Anyways...I am just glad that Gabby has the hand. I am trying to help but, I have been pretty MIA the past two weeks. Between moving, unpacking and then having meetings at CFD headquarters. And then I had to do an accelerated fire chief course, do my updated licensing and safety stuff...it's been a crazy time. Gabby has been such a saint that I can't even believe she is okay with this. I mean, I am still in awe of her. Believe me when I say this, she is definitely a supermom. And she knows it."

Christie smiled when I said that. "Let me guess, she gets cocky sometimes." I shook my head and didn't like how she said that. "Christie shut up before I decide to uninvite you to my first birthday as a dad of 3. I need you in my corner. And I need Violet whenever she can. When's her next day off school wise?" Christie then went to check. "That would be president's day." I nodded and agreed. "If she could come here that day...I would appreciate that so much. I work that day because it's a holiday and it's crazy busy. Or if she can even come over after school sometimes...that would be really appreciated. Maybe concentrate on Matteo. Give Gabby time."

Christie agreed with me. "I promise, I'll talk to her okay? Just know that I am always available." I agreed and nodded. "You come over sometime okay? I want you to properly meet your last nephew. You remember his name right?" Christie laughed. "Yes, and I saw him yesterday. Wallace." I then agreed. "By the way, that is such an odd name. Why did you guys choose that name?" I sighed. "We were going to go with Gabriel Elijah Casey but...then Wallace died. So, we changed it to Wallace Bode Casey. Instead of Boden, it's Bode." Christie agreed with me. "Nice."

I then sighed. "God, I was so emotional yesterday though. I went to park in my new spot at the firehouse. The one reserved for the Chief..." I then went to scratch the back of my head while relaxing. "...and it was still so surreal. I actually had to touch the sign to make it feel real. The spot has a plate. Says reserved for Chief Matthew Casey. For the longest time, it said reserved for Chief Wallace Boden. So, to see it is weird. I am just glad they installed a Tesla charger for me. That way, I get to have my car charged when I want to rush home to help Gabby with the kids." Christie was shocked when I said Tesla. "How did you guys have the money for that?"

I laughed. "Signing bonus. I am paying monthly for it but, they are paying for the charging. I needed to leave the van with Gabby." That's when I saw Matteo come upstairs. "Hey Matteo. Want to come say hi to auntie C?" Christie then spoke up. "Put me on speaker." I nodded and agreed, putting her on speaker. "Hey Matteo. How's my favorite nephew." Matteo then spoke up. "Good but papa needs to come down for breakfast." Christie was confused. "Did he just call you papa?" I laughed. "Yeah, it's my name. Spanish for dad." She agreed. "Well listen, I will try and talk to Violet and see what day she's off from work. Can I text you days?"

I agreed and smiled. "Sure thing. Now listen, I need to get going. I don't want to upset either one of the women downstairs." Christie agreed. "Go ahead and talk later. Oh and just to let you know, Violet is going to be a paramedic apparently." I laughed. "She get into UIC for Paramedic?" She agreed and smiled. "Yeah, she can't wait." I smiled and agreed. "I will work something out for her. But listen, I need to go." That's when I heard Gabby yell to me. "MATTHEW!" I sighed. "Talk later Christie." I then got up and sighed as I went to make my way downstairs. "I'm coming. Please, relax Gabby." I then sighed as I made my way downstairs, ready to explain.
