Chapter 102

Matt's POV: After finishing breakfast, I decided to go set the table with our food and cutlery while also putting a cup of tea down for Gabby. Knowing it helps her wake up and be in a good mood, I wanted to make sure I gave her some. Didn't need her to be all crabby while we are at Antonio's place. Once that was done, I went back to the kitchen and put a pancake I made for Matteo on one of his plates. Cutting it up ahead of time, I then went to grab one of his forks as I carried his plate and cutlery to the table. "Matteo, daddy made pancakes. Come to the table and eat."

Matteo then turned his attention away from the iPad and smiled as he got up and ran over to the table. "Thanks papa." I smiled when he said that before going to help him get in his chair. Once that was done, I walked over to the fridge. "Apple or OJ Matteo?" Matteo then smiled. "Can I have milk this morning pwease?" I smiled at him and nodded before going to get him some milk. Putting some in his sippy cup, I then walked over to him with his cup. "Here we go, Mr. Sippy." Matteo then went to grab it from me when I stopped him. "Matteo." He then nodded. "Thank you." I smiled and nodded, giving him the cup of milk before kissing the top of his head.

That's when I heard Gabby come downstairs. "Good, you are teaching him the manors." I nodded and agreed as she walked over. Noticing she got changed, I smiled. "More comfortable?" Gabby nodded. "We are going to my brother's place...not our friends. Sorry if I don't care what I am wearing when we are at my brother's place." Gabby then walked over to the table and saw I made her some tea. "You made me some tea." I nodded and agreed. "Thought that could be a good alternative to Coffee. Can I have some then?" Gabby then looked at me. "I guess."

I smiled and then went to grab a K-Cup. Putting it in the Keurig, I then went to make myself a cup of coffee. "I have been abstaining even at the firehouse. I am scared to get addicted to it." Gabby then laughed. "Go ahead and drink it there Matt. You need it when you do overnight shifts." I nodded before going to start the machine. "You already pump some bottles?" Gabby nodded and agreed. "They are in the fridge. Can you get the cooler bag out and then get it ready? I don't want to forget it when we have 2 babies. Sorry but, that's not happening. It's hard enough doing one kid. But when you have 2 feed 2 babies at once...that is too hard."

I agreed and then went to get the cooler bag out. "I'll put them in when it's time to leave. They'll get warm and go bad." Gabby nodded. "Put them in Antonio's fridge when we get there okay?" I nodded and agreed. "How long do you think we'll stay just curious?" Gabby thought about it. "Let's just play it by ear. I am not sure. They are family and I would like to try and spend at least lunch there. Maybe even early afternoon." I agreed. "What are we bringing crib wise?" I then walked over to the table to start eating. "I mean, we have to bring something for the babies." Gabby nodded and agreed. "I say we just bring whatever we need." I agreed and laughed.

"Hey so listen, my mom is going to come here on the 13th I think. That way she's here. Maybe we can just get out of here all day on Valentine's Day. Go on a day date instead of a night date. Go to the movies or something? I know it's cheesy but...there's not much you can do when you have 3 kids. I would take you away but...I would rather have you alone. It can be a birthday-valentine's day celebration for me and you." Gabby thought about it. "Can we wait to plan that far ahead Matt? We can't think that far ahead because we don't know if the kids will be sick."

I looked at her and hadn't even thought about that. "Right, sorry about that." Gabby nodded as she went to grab my hand. "I know you are sorry. It's just...it's different now Matt. I get you want to do these romantic things for us but, we have 3 kids and it makes it harder. Believe me, I want to go out with you and have a nice Valentine's day with my husband. That is amazing. Just maybe not this year. Anyways...you are going to be tired after working and stuff. Let's just stay here and have a day in bed with the kids. That'll be a great Valentine's day for me."

I nodded and understood as I rubbed her hand. "Listen, let's just finish eating and then we have to give the kids a bath. Or when did you last give them a bath?" Gabby smiled. "They are fine Matt. Let's wait until later. But thanks for offering." I smiled and nodded. "Hey, no need to thank me. I want to do whatever I can to help out when I can. Sometimes I feel like I put the firehouse ahead of you guys?" Gabby shook her head. "You aren't Matt. Just relax and eat your food so that we can get going. I want to spend time with my best friend before she gives birth."

I nodded and agreed. "She's on maternity leave now eh? So, that means she isn't my employee." Gabby smiled and nodded. "You are not working today. Now listen, let's eat and then we can get out of here. We are going to go have fun at Antonio's place for a while. I just hope that Eva and Diego are there. Haven't seen them in a while." I nodded and agreed with her, ready to go spend some time with friends/family. "Mind if I talk to Antonio about your dad though?" Gabby nodded. "Go ahead." I agreed and smiled at her, ready to head to Antonio's place.
