Chapter 34

Matt's POV: After getting ready to go, I smiled when I got Gabby's coat out for her while I stood at the front door. That's when I saw Camila walk over. "You positive you are okay letting us go out for maybe 30 minutes? I would understand if you changed your mind. 3 kids can be overwhelming." Camila then looked at me. "You seem to forget that I raised 2 kids in the 1980s. Where there was no technology. Matteo has his iPad, and your babies are sleeping. Plus Gabby already made some bottles. You are going to be fine for 30 minutes."

That's when I saw Gabby come downstairs wearing a nice pencil skirt, a nice shirt and some heels. I then just glared at her. "Can we extend it to an hour? Sorry but, she looks like that after 3 weeks of giving birth." Camila then turned to look at Gabby and just stared. "Woah." Gabby smiled and nodded. "Let's just say that I have a lot of stuff holding me together. I wanted to look hot for my man." I then smiled as she walked up to me before wrapping my arm around her waist. "Well, mission accomplished." I then kissed her softly. 

Gabby smiled when I did that before grabbing my hand. "Do you want to go out for an hour?" I then looked at Camila. "We'll be back, I promise. We'll eat and then we'll be right back. Just need a bit of time with her. She needs air." Camila smiled and agreed. "Hey, gives me time alone. Just make sure you aren't too late. I need to take a shower tonight." Gabby nodded and smiled. "Me too. But we are going to do that when we are back from the date." Her mom then stared at us both. "You guys are crazy. You want a 4th kid?" I shook my head. "I'm in the clear." 

I smiled when she said that. "Now listen Camila, I have my phone. If you need us, please call me. I am doing this to give Gabby a break. And I need to thank her for being such a trooper. She hasn't really had a break since we learned the news. She's been holding this family together and I want to show her how much that means to me." Camila smiled when I said that. "Well that makes sense why you want to take her on a date." I smiled and agreed as I went to kiss Gabby's cheek. "Camila, I promise that I will get you a spa day sometime to show my thanks."

Camila then looked at me and smiled. "Gabby, you picked a good husband there. He treats us both like we are queens. Matt, I am going to take you up on that offer. But only after I babysit on the 13th." I then looked at her. "How did you know we were going to ask for that night alone?" Camila then laughed. "Matt, I've been your mother-in-law for more than 4 years now. I know your birthday is 2 days before Valentine's day." I then turned to look at Gabby. "Oh my god. I just realized something. Me and Wally's birthdays are exactly 1 month apart. Just like Matteo and Ella." Gabby then laughed when I said that and smiled.

I then looked at her. "And I just realized that I don't have to work on either my birthday or Valentine's day this year." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Perfect. That means we get to celebrate your birthday as a family. And then we get to celebrate Valentine's Day as husband and wife somewhere." I agreed and smiled when she said that. "But listen, we should get going. We want to be back for bath time." Gabby smiled and agreed. "We'll be no longer than an hour, I promise mom." I nodded and agreed with her.

"Then let's go for our hour okay?" Gabby nodded and smiled. "Thanks again mom." I then went to grab her hand and intertwined our fingers. "Don't forget my food!" I laughed when she said that and nodded. "I promise." Leading Gabby out to the car, I smiled as we prepared to head on our first date since before Ella was born. (AKA for the first time in 4 months).
