An Hour Later when Natalie arrives at their new place:
Matt's POV:
As I heard the doorbell ring, I smiled as I prepared to see Natalie for the first time in a few months. I just hoped that she was okay with this. And of course, possibly talking about what happened between her and Will. Well, I mean after I spoke to him at the restaurant. He is such a damn fool if he doesn't follow her. I mean, just look at me...I am the prime example of someone doing something stupid and not following the woman he loves. I almost lost her forever.

Opening the door, I looked at Natalie and smiled. "It's still Dr. Manning-Halstead right?" Natalie laughed and agreed as she stepped in to hug me. "How are you Matt and of course, congratulations on everything. The chief job and stuff. But, how are you dealing with grieving? I know you couldn't make it to the funeral." I nodded and sighed. "I am doing the best I can. But I am glad you came because I have an ulterior motive to get you here. I heard about you and Will."

Natalie sighed and looked at me. "Who did you hear it from?" I laughed and looked at her. "Natalie, you seem to forget that I have paramedics that frequently go to the hospital. And of course, from Will himself." Natalie nodded and agreed. "We'll talk while I do this. Why you need it this time? No more pandemic." I sighed when she asked. "It's part of my promise to balance my chief duties and being a good dad. I have a meeting at the normal time...though this would be better. Anyways, I really don't want to go to the hospital. Already have a bad memory there."

Natalie nodded and understood when she saw Gabby in the living room. "Holy hot mama! How in the world do you loose the baby weight so damn fast?" Gabby laughed and smiled as she walked over to her. "Mix of exercise and healthy eating. Some exercise more enjoyable than others." She then smirked at me and walked away. "God woman, I always say it...you are going to be the death of me one of these days!" Gabby then turned to look at me. "Natalie, the kids are in the living room. How about you go get set up in there?" Natalie got confused but did as told.

Walking over to me, Gabby went to slap my cheek. I then stared at her. "Okay, ow. What was that for!" Gabby then stared at me. "The death of me? Seriously! You tell me that while I am grieving for Boden! Oh and after having watched you run into a burning building to save Severide, possibly ruining your lungs more than they are currently ruined. Yeah, I think you know exactly what that was about." Gabby then walked away, clearly upset with me. "Gabby." Gabby then just went to living room to go sit with Natalie and help give the kids their shots.

Gabby's POV:
As I walked into the living room, I saw Natalie getting set up. "Sorry about that. Just snapped." Natalie turned to look at me and nodded. "Sometimes men have really bad timing with words." I nodded and agreed with her. "Now listen, enough about my man. What the heck is happening with you and your man? I already heard some stuff. Please tell me..." Natalie sighed and shook her head. "No, apparently he spoke with Matt at the restaurant. He is going to try and find a job there. Something with a Dr. Meredith Grey at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital?"

I laughed and nodded. "That sounds like fun. But listen, you know I really appreciate you coming here to do this." That's when I felt Matt join me on the couch. "I'm sorry okay? I know it's hard right now." I turned to look at him and nodded as I went to grab his hand. He then intertwined our fingers while moving to kiss my cheek. "I'll try and watch my expressions okay? But you were really sexy when you did that. I mean, you almost made me want...." Natalie then glared at the two of us. "Okay, calm down you too and who is holding Ella and who is doing Wally?"

I then went to grab Wally since he was younger. "He's younger and Ella is a total daddy's girl." Natalie laughed when I said that. "Trust me, Willow is the same." Natalie then went to start getting stuff ready while I kissed Wally's head to distract him. "Here Gabby, when she's done...pass him to me and then you can do Ella. That way it's just faster." I nodded and smiled when he said that. "How's your cheek?" Matt just looked at me. "After okay? Let's just concentrate on this so that I don't have to cancel my meeting tomorrow."

I then turned to look at Matt. "You already e-mail the guys and say you are going to go with them after all? You are all meeting there right?" Matt nodded and smiled. "No, I am there at 9 for scouting. Then, they are going to go to shift. After that, I have a quick meeting. Back at firehouse by 11." I nodded and agreed with him when I saw Matt get his phone out. "Sorry, just double checking. Can I call him while this happens?" I nodded and agreed while Matt got his phone out. He then got up and walked away to try and get his meeting back with Chief Grissom.

I then turned to look at Natalie and smiled at her. "Listen, promise me that you and Will can talk this out. I don't want to see you guys break up over this. You finally got married and had Willow. You can't give up now." Natalie nodded and smiled. "We are going to figure it out. But he has to come. Sorry but, I am not passing up the chance to be the Head of Pediatrics there. It's too much. I mean, you know how I am feeling. Big opportunity." I agreed and smiled as we both took care of the kids shots.

Meanwhile with Matt - Matt's POV:
As I walked into my office, I sighed because I hoped that I could get back into the meeting with Grissom. Calling him, I got him in person. "Ah, if it isn't Casey. What do you need this time Chief?" I laughed when he said that. "I was able to get the shots appointment moved up to today. So, if your time slot for tomorrow hasn't been filled yet, I am available to take it before joining the guys for scouting." Grissom agreed. "That sounds great. I was actually going to take it as personal time. But, I would rather meet the new Chief."

I smiled and agreed with him. "Thanks again Commissioner. See you tomorrow at the Academy." The commissioner agreed and was glad we were meeting.
