The Wedding

Matt's POV: After getting everybody set up in the lobby near the end of the church, I smiled as I looked at Matteo and Gabby. Wrapping my arms around them both, I Just took a minute to relax. That's when Antonio walked back over. "Here, how about I help him walk down the aisle since he is your ring berrer?" I then looked at him and nodded while setting Matteo down. "Hey Matteo, you are going to stay with uncle Tonio for a while okay? Mama and papa are going to do something together okay?" Matteo nodded and agreed as I went to kiss his forehead. 

Getting up, I then turned to look at Antonio and smiled. "You have it right?" Antonio nodded and smiled when I said that. Gabby then looked at me. "Have what?" I looked at her and smiled. "It's a surprise for you." Gabby then smiled as she cuddled up to me. Kissing her head, I smiled as we held each other close. Antonio then looked at us both. "See you at the end of the aisle." I agreed and nodded when he said that. That's when I heard the music start for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get going. And while we only had 2, it was okay.

Gabby then looked at me and smiled. "You know I appreciate doing it in the catholic church right?" I nodded and smiled at her. "I am glad we are doing it in the church. It's so beautiful and do have it done by the same priest who baptized me is kinda nice. I am just glad I was able to go through all the sacrements so quickly." Gabby smiled and then looked at me when she felt the baby kick. Moving my hand to her stomach, she smiled. "You feel that?" I nodded and smiled at her. "God, that's incredible." Gabby smiled and agreed.

That's when we heard our music start. "Ready to get this started?" Gabby nodded and smiled as the doors opened for us. That's when we started to walk down the aisle. She then saw that there were some special guests as some (surprise) groomsmen. I flew in some of her cousins from Miami and Mexico. Gabby just looked a tme. "Matt, did you do that?" I nodded and smiled. "I had to give you a few surprises." Gabby then smiled as we walked down the aisle together. SHe then waved to her grandmother and great-grandmother as we walked.

Making our way to the end of the aisle, I smiled at Gabby's mom. "Your mom is going to hold him during the ceremony." Gabby nodded and agreed as I went to give Matteo to her mom. "Thanks Camila." Camila nodded and agreed as she wrapped her arms around Matteo. Me and Gabby then both went to stand at the end of the aisle to get this started. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the love between Mrs. Gabriela and Mr. Matthew Casey. And while this is a vow renewal, I have been asked to perform a true ceremony."

I smiled when he said that before looking at Gabby. Grabbing her hands, I isntertwined our fingers as the priest spoke. "Let us pray." He then prayed over us in both english and spanish. However, we decided to skip the readings that were normally included in a mass considering that is a lot to go through when we have such a young child. Oh and Gabby was pregnant.

NOTE: I don't know what happens during a wedding so, I am just going to do the last part. Hope you all understand. - Skip to the vow/new ring exchange.

Looking at Gabby as I rubbed her hand, I went to start my surprise to her. My vows in Spanish. "Antonio?" Antonio then nodded and went to give me the card. I then proceeded to read them to her. 

Vows - As read by Matt:
Gabriela Maria Dawson, en los últimos años hemos pasado por mucho. Abortos espontáneos, peleas, rupturas y distancia. Pero el año pasado, encontramos el camino de regreso el uno al otro y estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho. Gabby, te amo con todo mi corazón y te prometo que esta es nuestra oportunidad de hacerlo bien.

Como su esposo, prometo amarte, honrarte y apreciarte. Y también prometo apoyarte en todo lo que hagas. El matrimonio se trata de trabajo en equipo y formamos un gran equipo. No quiero dejarte ir nunca más y no lo planeo. Gabby, lo tenemos todo. Tenemos nuestra familia y tenemos dos hijos más en camino este año.

Tú, Gabby, eres mi milagro y sigues haciéndome enamorarme cada vez más de ti todos los días. Cada día aprendo algo nuevo sobre ti y aprendo a apreciarte aún más que el día anterior. Y ni siquiera sabía que eso era posible. Gabby, eres una mujer hermosa y fuerte y estoy muy contenta de poder llamarte mi esposa hoy, mañana y por el resto de nuestras vidas. Te amo con todo mi corazón y siempre lo haré, por siempre.

Vows - English Translation:
Gabriela Maria Dawson, over the past few years we have gone through a lot. Miscarriages, fights, breakups and distance. But last year, we found our way back to one another and I am so glad that we did. Gabby, I love you with all my heart and I promise that this is our chance to do it right.

As your husband, I vow to love you, honor you and cherish you. And I also vow to support you in whatever you do. Marriage is about teamwork and we make a great team. I never want to let you go again and I don't plan on it. Gabby, we have it all. We have our family, and we have two more kids on the way this year.

You Gabby are my miracle and you continue to make me fall more and more in love with you each and every day. Each day I learn something new about you and learn to appreciate you even more than I did the day before. And I didn't even know that was possible. Gabby, you are a beautiful, strong woman and I am so glad that I get to call you my wife today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives. I love you with all my heart and always will, forever.

Gabby then stared at me when I said that. "Matt, you learned spanish for the wedding?" I nodded and smiled at her before going to give the card back to Antonio. Grabbing her hand once again, I then went to rub her arms. "Only for you." Gabby then smiled and agreed as she felt Sylvie give her card to her. "Right, of course." Gabby then went to read her vows to me in english. These were the same vows from when we got married in the hospital.

Once Gabby finished reading the vows, the priest looked at us. "Can we have the rings?" Gabby then looked at me. "Rings?" I then smiled and turned to look at Antonio and grabbed the ring. "Gabby, I made this ring for you." Opening the box, I went to show it to her. "This ring has 3 gemstones. They are our children's birthstones." Gabby smiled when I Said that. "Matt, that's so sweet." I agreed and nodded while grabbing the ring.

"Gabby, with this ring...I thee renew my vows to you and promise to love you for the rest of my life...living by the vows I recited to you today." Gabby smiled as she went to look at the ring. She then went to rub my hand as we both turned to look at the priest. "By the power invested in me by the holy spirit, I now pronounce you husband and wife in the eyes of the church." We then both smiled as I stepped close to her. "Mr. Casey, you may kiss your wife." I then went to kiss her softly as she grabbed my arms.

I then just held her close for a minute and smiled. "Now, back to the mass." We both agreed with him and went to sit down so we could listen to the rest of the mass and so that I could receive the eucharist for the first time since becoming a Catholic.
