Chapter 113

Matt's POV: Once I finished getting everything set up downstairs, I smiled when I heard Gabby come downstairs with the kids. Having already changed into some PJs, I turned to look at her. "Sorry, I was about to come up and help." Gabby then looked at me and smiled as she went to set Ella and Wally on the bed. "It's okay, you already did a lot. And I am glad you got comfortable, because I want to stay down here. I am just going to go help Matteo put his PJs on so he can take a nap. He's in his room. Can you put them in their cribs?" I nodded and smiled. "We can lay down in here. You look like you could use a rest." Gabby nodded and agreed.

"I will be back in a minute okay?" I nodded when she said that before watching her walk away. Looking down at Ella and Wally, I smiled as I bent over them and went to kiss their cheeks. "Hey little monsters, you guys want to get changed and get all comfortable in your cribs. Take some naps while mommy and daddy rest in bed for a bit?" Ella then went to yawn as she just waited for me to change her. Walking over to the bag I made for her, I then went to grab the PJ I packed for her. Doing the same for Wally, I then made my way to the bed. "Here, let's get these cute clothes off and put you in your PJ so that you can take a nap you little girl."

Getting Ella undressed, I then proceeded to put her in her PJs because I knew she was tired. Once that was done, I picked her up and smiled as I went to kiss her cheek. "Here we go sweetie, time to go take a nap okay?" Ella then cuddled up to me. Kissing the top of her head, I smiled as I carried her to her crib so that I could lay her down in bed. Once that was done, I went to grab the blanket I hat on the edge of the crib before going to cover her up. She then rolled over and fell asleep quite easily. "God, you are such a good sleeper."

I then went to make my way back so that I could do the same with Wally. Quickly doing the same, I went to pick him up again before carrying him to his crib. "There we go little ones, you guys take a nap while mommy and daddy rest in bed." Covering Wally up, I then felt Gabby come back into the bedroom. Rubbing my back, she smiled at me while I wrapped my arm around her. "You want to get in bed too?" Gabby nodded and agreed as she went to walk over to the bed. Grabbing her PJs which I already laid out for her, she went to get changed.

"Want to just play on our iPads? I have to go some stuff anyways. If you are tired, you can just lay down on my chest while I do some work." Gabby then looked at me. "You are not working today. Today, our niece is being born." I nodded and agreed. "However, I am going to rest with you. Just lay down and let me cuddle up to you. I don't care if we are at my brother's...I still want to have you just hold me for a bit." I nodded and agreed as she went to get changed into her new t-shirt and comfortable shorts. That's when I saw she wasn't wearing a bra.

"Don't even think about it. It's for tonight. I am not pumping. I am going to breastfeed." I nodded and agreed with her as she went to get in bed. Crawling over to me, Gabby then laid down against me as I wrapped my arm around her back and moved to kiss her forehead. "You want to talk about anything while we're down here?" Gabby then looked into my eyes and shook her head. "I just want to rest. You know this is normally when I take my afternoon nap. Plus, the babies were quite crabby while you were done. They cried for a bit."

I nodded and understood before grabbing her neck and moving to kiss her softly. "You know I love you right? You have been such a trooper." Gabby smiled and nodded as she went to lay down on my chest. "If we have to stay longer than a night or two...I expect you to take time off. Please?" I sighed. "I am just doing day shifts babe. However, I may have to go get the Tesla tomorrow. You need to have the van here if you want to take the kids anywhere." Gabby then shook her head. "No, you can take the van. I have to stay here with Theo."

I nodded and agreed as I went to kiss her forehead softly. "Listen, just take a nap okay? You look exhausted and like you really need it. Eva and Diego are here for a little while longer. I think I brought the baby monitors somewhere. I forget though." Gabby then looked at me. "Oh great, I don't like the sound of that." I then went to grab her neck and went to kiss her forehead. "Just relax okay babe? I am here and not going anywhere." Gabby nodded and agreed as she just laid down in my arms. That's when we were disturbed. 

Opening the door, Eva walked in. "Sorry, just letting you guys know that we are leaving. I brought the baby monitor downstairs from my dad's room. He said to give it to you guys. I already called him and told him." I nodded and agreed. "Did he say anything about feeding?" Eva nodded. "Yeah, in the fridge. He also said he texted you or to just text him with questions. However, if you want me to stay...you have to call my dad." Gabby then shook her head. "No, go to work Eva. You need to do training. You are in the kitchen for now."

Eva smiled and nodded. "Dad has some portable cribs in the nursery if you want to bring them downstairs too?" Gabby then shook her head. "Eva, just go to work and lock up." Eva agreed and nodded. "He's due to eat in 45 minutes. Have a good night. I'll take over when I'm back from work okay? I promise. Do I have your permission to leave early if it gets slow? I don't want you guys to have to watch them longer than you have to when you have 3 kids of your own."

Gabby then stared at her. "Eva, just leave and go to work. We will tell you what we need. We can always call Hermann and tell him we need you. So, we'll see. Just get to work." Eva nodded and agreed. "Okay. Talk later." Eva then went to give us the baby monitor before leaving. Setting it down next to our baby monitor, I looked at Gabby. "You sleep okay? I will listen for the kids." Gabby nodded and agreed as she cuddled up to me, ready to take a nap in my arms.
