Chapter 116

Matt's POV:
Once we finished feeding the boys, we brought them into the living room with us. Setting them both down in the play pen, they started to play with their respective toys. Meanwhile, Gabby looked at me. "I am going to go get the other two. By the way, good idea putting Theo in his PJs." I nodded and agreed. "You want me to bring the cribs up here in case we decide to fall asleep up here?" Gabby then turned to look at me and shook her head. 

"By the way, did you remember our toothbrushes?" I then looked at her. "Oh shoot." Gabby just shook her head. "Matt, seriously." I then sat up. "Sorry if I was rushing. We can skip a day Gabby." Gabby then shook her head before looking at me. "Text Antonio where his spares are." I nodded and agreed before going to do as I was asked. 

'Hey, we forgot our toothbrushes. You guys have spares?' I then put my phone down because I knew he wouldn't respond quickly. "Gabby, I just texted him. I am going to go grab the cribs and stuff okay? I think it's a pull out couch. I recognize it from their old place. It was downstairs." Gabby then got up and went to check. She then smiled when she got it out. "Good and it even has sheets on it. That means we can cuddle up here instead of downstairs. Can you bring my charger up here too? We are just going to sleep up here instead." I nodded and agreed as I saw her grab a blanket before laying down. "What about when Eva and Diego get home from work? That'll wake up us, Matteo and the babies." Gabby laughed. "We'll wake up regardless."

I was confused when she said that. "Why?" Gabby smiled. "You really don't think that Eva and Diego are going to come downstairs and tell us that they are home" I nodded and agreed. "Good point. Now, are you going to help with the babies or do I have to take care of them on my own?" Gabby then looked at the kids. "And leave the boys unattended?" I nodded and agreed. "Good point. Listen, I'll get the kids and then get the cribs." Walking over to her, I then went to lean over her. Kissing her softly, I smiled. "Be back soon." Gabby smiled and agreed when I did that. I then proceeded to make my way downstairs so that I could go get the kids and bring our stuff upstairs.

Gabby's POV:
Once Matt went downstairs to get the babies and all of our things, I smiled as I watched Matteo play with his cousin. "You like playing with your cousin Theo don't you Matteo?" Matteo then looked up at me and smiled. "Yes, I do mama." I smiled when he said that. "We are going to stay tonight okay buddy? Your uncle Tonio and aunt Sylvie are giving birth to their daughter tonight. We have to stay here and watch him because they aren't here." Matteo nodded and smiled as he came to join me on the bed. "Does that mean I am having a sleepover?"

I laughed and nodded as he came to cuddle up to me. "Yeah but, that's daddy's spot okay? You know that I like to cuddle up to daddy." Matteo then went to lay down. "My night tonight?" I then shook my head. "No, it's daddy's night. Always daddy's night." Matteo nodded and agreed. "Okay mama." I smiled when he said that before going to kiss his forehead. That's when I saw Matt come upstairs with the kids. "Here, can you take them? Then I will bring the rest of our things upstairs. Think you can give me a hand with your bag Matteo?"

Matteo then nodded and agreed as he got up. "Okay papa." He then went to run downstairs with Matt, who just smiled. "We have a good son." I nodded and agreed. "He has such a kind heart. Just like this father." Matt smiled when I said that. "I owe you a kiss for that." I laughed and agreed. "When you are back here and we are cuddling as a family." Matt agreed and smiled as he went to go back downstairs. Meanwhile, I decided to text the firehouse to ask them to pray for Sylvie considering she is giving birth early.

'Emergency FYI to F51: Sylvie in premature labor. Please pray for her.' I then waited for people to reply to the group text we have set up with all of our friends. They all came in as follows.

Hermann: Send her and Antonio our love. We'll pray!
Stella: God, that's scary. Send our girl some love!
Cruz: Send her me and Chloe's best wishes and love!
Mouch: Send her and Antonio my love. CPD too!

That's when I decided to text Erin so she could tell CPD. 'Hey Sylvie's in early labor. At hospital. Can you tell CPD to pray for them?'  Erin texted me back right away. 'Of course, wish Antonio luck! Sylvie's a trouper!'

I agreed and then took a few deep breaths. When Matt was here, I was going to talk to him. Maybe even break down because what he doesn't know is that I am freaking out because this wasn't just my brother's wife who's in premature labor...this was also my best friend (well, other than him of course).
