Matt's POV: Once I set the babies up in their chairs, I smiled when I looked at Gabby. "You need some water or anything?" Gabby then nodded and smiled. "Sure, that sounds great. However, I wouldn't mind having a blanket too. I forgot to wear a sweater." I nodded and agreed. "Hey Antonio, where are your blankets?" Antonio then looked at me. "You take care of the water. I will get Gabby a blanket." I nodded and agreed as I went to walk away to their kitchen so that I could grab Gabby some water. Meanwhile, Antonio went to get Gabby a blanket. That's when I realized that Matteo hasn't gone to the washroom in a bit. "Hey Matteo, when you last go to the washroom?" Gabby then turned to look at him. "Matteo, how about you go try okay?"
Matteo nodded. "Okay, can you tell me where it is aunt Sylvie?" Sylvie then nodded as she got up. "C'mon buddy." She then went to lead her away. "You want some water too Sylvie?" Sylvie then looked at me and nodded. "Thanks Matt, that'd be great." I agreed and then went to grab a third glass for Sylvie. Filling it up, I then went to grab the three glasses before carrying them to the living room. Antonio then stared at me and walked over, scared. "Dude, give me one of them. You're going to spill." I then went to give him one. "You seem to forget that I used to work at a bar. And believe me, I never dropped a glass. I would've been on my boss' naughty/no sex list."
Gabby laughed when I said that. "Last time I checked, you only worked a few shifts compared to me. By the way, did you get the eTransfer yet? It's due today." I shook my head. "No, not yet. You might want to text Hermann to remind him." Gabby nodded and agreed as she grabbed her phone to text him. 'Just a friendly reminder Hermann, it's Molly's 25% Transfer Day.' I then looked at her when she texted him. "You think he's going to send the money?" Gabby nodded. "He knows I mean business when it comes to Molly's. Plus, you can always punish him if he doesn't transfer the money to us." I sighed when she said that. "Gabby...you know I can't."
Walking over to the living room with my water, I then went to sit down with Gabby on the sectional. Gabby decided to cover me up. Smiling as she did that, I moved to wrap my arm around her while kissing the top of her head. I then went to grab her hand and rubbed it as I intertwined our fingers when Gabby's phone vibrated. 'Thanks for the reminder. I'm on it. Yours' or Matt's e-mail?' Gabby then went to quickly text him back. 'Matt's. Mine is my personal account from when we were separated.' Reading the text, I looked at her. "We still haven't merged those accounts?" Gabby sighed and shook her head. "We will, I promise."
Kissing her forehead while running my fingers through her hair, I smiled at her before taking a sip of my water. "I will call the bank and get our accounts merged. Can't believe we haven't done that when we've been married 17 months." Antonio then looked at me, shocked. "Has it already been that long?" I nodded. "5 more months and we beat our last marriage." Moving my arm around Gabby's waist, I went to grab her hand and intertwined our fingers. "Not that I have any doubts that we are going to not going to beat our record for years to come." Gabby smiled when I said that before looking up at me. I then kissed her softly. "Love you."
Gabby smiled and nodded when I went to look at the babies. "They are sound asleep." Gabby nodded and agreed. "Good, it's actually why I timed us coming here now. It's their nap time." I nodded and agreed before turning to look at Eva. "So Eva, tell me how college is going. How's your legal studies going and how long until you're a lawyer?" Eva laughed when I said that. "I am not going to be a lawyer for at least another 4 years." Antonio then turned to look at her, shocked. "What?" Eva then looked at him. "2 years undergrad, 3 years law school, then I have to pass the Illinois State Bar which takes another year. Dad, I start law school in the fall."
I nodded and agreed. "Where did you apply for law school anyways?" Eva smiled when I asked. "Actually, I have some news. I just got accepted to Notre Dame Law School." We then all stared at her. "WHAT!" Eva smiled and nodded as we all got up and then went to hug her. Antonio went first. "Oh my god, congratulations sweetie." Sylvie then went next. "Congratulations Eva." Eva then smiled as she hugged us all. "I am going to try and do the first semester here in Chicago so I can work and stuff. By the way Aunt Gabby, can I get some work at the Bar?" Gabby nodded and agreed. "You can go in with your brother. You can work in the kitchen."
I then went to sit down again and smiled as I decided to text Hermann. 'Hey, can my niece Eva work at the restaurant? She needs $$ for school.' Hermann then texted me back pretty quickly. 'Sure thing Matt, the more help the better. Where she going?' I smiled and went to text him back. 'Notre Dame Law School' Hermann seemed to be shocked when I said that. 'Tell her that I said congratulations. From her new co-boss.' I agreed. 'When can she start?' Hermann then replied. 'Tell her to come in with her brother today. I'll train her in kitchen.' I agreed and sent a smiley face before looking at Eva. "Eva, I have some news for you."
Eva then looked at me. "What's that uncle Matt?" I then smiled at her. "You are going to shift with Diego tonight. You are working in the kitchen." Eva and Gabby then stared at her. "How did you do that so fast?" I laughed. "I just texted Hermann and asked if she can work there to make money for school. He asked where she was going and I told him Notre Dame Law School. By the way, he says congratulations on your acceptance." Eva then smiled as she went to get up and then went to hug me. "Thanks uncle Matt. Think my babysitting can start being paid?"
Antonio then looked at her. "Eva!" I then looked at him. "Antonio, she has to buy books and stuff. It's a fair question and of course you can be paid for babysitting. Plus, you have to watch 3 kids at once. Now, you take shifts whenever you want and babysit whenever you want. We are not going to say no. And we can even be there. We are not going to say no to help with the kids." Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "However, you are paid at half-rate while we are there." Antonio then looked at Eva. "Does your mom know?"
Eva shook her head. "No, I literally just got the e-mail an hour ago. I was waiting." Antonio smiled and agreed. "Go tell your mom and tell her to come over so we can celebrate. I mean, if that's okay with you Sylvie. I mean, we have to celebrate this as a family. I would take you all out but..." Sylvie then went to grab his hand and smiled. "It's okay. Me and Laura are good now. Invite your mom over Eva. She can celebrate with us." Antonio smiled as he went to kiss her head. "I am going to order us some Chinese. You guys want your normal stuff?" Gabby then looked at Antonio. "Yeah. Matteo gets the same meal as me, kids size. Sauce on the side."
Antonio nodded and agreed. "Be back in a minute." I nodded and agreed as he walked away before turning to look at Eva. "So, Eva...how are you feeling?" Eva smiled. "Good but dad, I am going to go tell mom and invite her over okay?" Antonio then turned to look at her and nodded, agreeing. "Go ahead." Eva smiled and nodded as she walked away to her room so she could call her mom."
