Chapter 46

Meanwhile, downstairs in Matteo's bedroom:
Gabby's POV: As I sat in Matteo's big boy bed with him, I smiled as I kissed his head. I was just glad that I had the baby monitor on in the bedroom and was able to listen for the kids. The only bad thing was that I couldn't hear Matt. I just prayed her didn't have to let Matteo down. That's when I saw Matt walk into the room. "Hey big boy. You look comfortable on mama's chest." Matteo then looked away with him, obviously hurt. "He's hurt Matt. He was so excited to spend the day with you." Matt smiled and went to sit with us. "Matteo, daddy has good news."

I then looked at him. "Papa spoke to his boss...and I was able to cancel my meeting. That means I am not going anywhere today." I smiled at him when he said that. "Really?" Matt nodded and smiled. "Really guys. Papa gets to stay home." Matt then looked at Matt and went to walk over to him, hugging him. "I love you papa." Matt then smiled as he hugged him. "I love you too Matteo. And I am so sorry about almost breaking my promise to you. But listen, you can't do it tomorrow morning okay? Papa has to work at the firehouse." Matteo nodded.

I then sat up and looked at them both. "Maybe we can stop by tomorrow. We can get Stella to meet us there with Stephen." Matt smiled and nodded. "That sounds great. Now, I don't have the meeting until next month. So that's good news." I smiled and agreed. "Listen Matteo, how about you go downstairs and pick some cereal for breakfast? Mommy wants to talk to daddy for a minute?" Matteo nodded and agreed before going to walk away. I then decided to get up and moved to sit in Matt's lap. "You are amazing." Matt smiled when I did that before grabbing my back, kissing me softly. I laughed when he did that because it was incredibly sexy. However, I stopped pretty soon after considering where we were doing this.

"Maybe we shouldn't do this on our son's bed." I nodded and agreed with him. "Listen, you head back upstairs okay? I am going to go downstairs. The kids are upstairs alone." Matt smiled and agreed. "Can you just make me a a bagel and bring it upstairs when Matteo is done eating? And ask him what movie he wants to watch this morning. We can watch it while we cuddle up to ne another in bed today. We can hold the babies too." I nodded and agreed, kissing him softly. "See you soon." Matt smiled and nodded as he let me go. I then got up and went to go be with Matteo downstairs. Meanwhile, Matt went back upstairs to bed and the babies.
