Chapter 107

Matt's POV: Once things started to calm down after the news we got about Eva being accepted to Notre Dame Law School, we were all talking again. Well, everybody except me. I was currently in the midst of just thinking about things. Knowing how much college can be if the kids continue with second degrees and stuff...I am wondering whether I am going to be afford it for each one of our 3 kids. I don't want them to be victims of the current student debt crisis that is going on in the United States so, I am starting to wonder what the kids might want to be when they grow up. Could I maybe ask them to just go to community college? No, that wouldn't be fair to them. Nor is it what I want. I want them to live their dreams and do it with all they have in them. Right?"

Gabby obviously figured out that I wasn't listening to the conversation because she was now rubbing my chest and whispering to me. "Matt, you even listening? What's wrong babe?" I then looked down at her. "Sorry, just got thinking." Gabby then looked at me. "About..." I sighed again. "Notre Dame Law School is expensive. What if all 3 of our kids want to go to that good of a school and get those types of degrees. I don't want them to be part of the student debt crisis. We are going to have to save so much." Gabby sighed when I said that. "Matt, we can't do that. That would require us to put most of our savings to their college. And that's not fair to us. And we need money to buy food and stuff so, that's not possible. We can figure it out okay Matt? Later."

I nodded and agreed with her as I went to tug the covers up more before kissing her forehead. I then watched as Matteo came to sit next to us on the couch after finding the iPad. "Papa, can I have the passcode please?" I laughed and nodded as I went to grab the iPad. "Disney?" Matteo nodded and smiled as he waited for me to give him the iPad. Once I did, he went to open Disney+ and smiled as he went to explore in his own little world. Antonio then looked at me. "You guys have Disney+ and you're just telling me that now?" I nodded and agreed. "Yeah, why?" Antonio smiled. "I want to have it. It helps to entertain the kids. I did the free trial. Just expensive." I nodded and agreed. "Keeps him busy though. That's why we have it."

Antonio agreed. "So, can we have your password?" I laughed and nodded. "Go get me your iPad and I will put it in." Gabby then looked at me. "Seriously?" I then nodded. "Hey, you guys have Netflix?" Sylvie nodded. "Yeah, why?" I then smirked. "We pay for Disney+, you guys pay for Netflix and we share accounts." I then turned to look at Gabby to see what she thought of that idea. "That's a good idea. Just get her to put it in your phone. Oh and cancel our Netflix Account." I nodded. "Let's wait until we are home to do that. That way, we can create a profile on the Netflix account and get it set up with our shows." Antonio then walked over. "You guys don't have Netflix yet?" I laughed and shook my head. "We do but, we are going to cancel it. You guys are going to pay for it."

Antonio was confused. "Give me your iPad and you give me the password on my phone and Gabby's phone. We are going to pay for Disney+. Meanwhile, you guys are going to pay for Netflix for us." Antonio agreed and nodded as he gave me his iPad while I gave him my phone. Entering each other's passwords for the respective apps, we then switched back and I smiled. "Thanks. That's going to save us a bunch of money." Antonio laughed when I said that. "Yeah $15 a month." I then looked at him. "That equals $180 a year. Also known as 2 weeks worth of groceries." Gabby then shook her head. "I would say more like a week and a half."

I then turned to look at her. "Has the grocery bill gone up?" Gabby nodded. "I am eating more because I am breastfeeding. And so is Matteo. Plus, we have to buy two different types of diapers. So that adds up." I nodded and smiled at her before kissing her head. "I promise, we can probably find ways to save stuff. I know things are tight right now since you aren't at full pay yet." Antonio then looked at us. "How are you dealing with that anyways? Is it causing problems in your marriage? The money." I shook my head. "No, I'm fine. I am used to living within my means. Honestly...before the kids I probably had my fridge half full 90% of the time."

Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, I eat a lot more. I promise though...my appetite is going to go down soon when I am done breastfeeding." I then agreed. "Yeah, but his is just going to go up. Then we have to start baby food again and then bigger diapers. I am just ready to get him in underwear. Just haven't gotten around to potty-training him yet." Antonio nodded and agreed. "Honestly, I feel like that's always the worst part. And I hated it. Always will. It means your kids don't need you to change them anymore."

Sylvie then looked at him and grabbed his hand. "Awh, that's cute. You think changing diapers is fun and something to bond over. Yeah, try having to get peed on almost every day at the same time. And your son has impeccable aim. I mean seriously, I do not want to drink his pee thank you very much." Gabby then stared at her. "Okay, I am going to get us some refills for water? Want one Matt?" Matt then nodded. "I will come with you. Can you watch Matteo for us?" Antonio was about to say yes when the door rang. "After I get that." I nodded and agreed as I went to walk with Gabby to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Antonio walked over to the door to see who it was. Opening the door, he saw it was Jay and Erin. "Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Jay sighed and looked at him. "We were bored. I thought maybe Olivia could play with your kids since Matt and Gabby aren't home." That's when I decided to walk over to him. "Yeah, that's because we are here at Antonio's place." Jay then laughed. "I need somebody to keep Olivia busy. We were up last night with Lucky. Speaking of her, do you mind?" Antonio shook his head. "Of course not Jay. Come in. She's family." Jay nodded and agreed as he prepared to hang out with us.
