Chapter 19

Matt's POV: As I made my way downstairs from the bedroom, I came in and looked at Gabby as she set Ella down in her rocker. I then sighed as I went to stand behind her. "Hey Matteo, how about you go eat with your abuela?" Matteo nodded and agreed as he walked away. Gabby then turned to look at me and glared at me. "Matt...you said you'd be quick." I then went to wrap my arms around. "Not my fault that my sister called."

Gabby then stared at me. "Oh." I nodded and then felt her rub my arms. I then kissed her forehead and smiled at her. "Listen, relax okay? I am here now and I promise that I am here to help with whatever you need. You just need to relax okay Gabby? You are going to stress yourself to the point of a breaking point. You are already low on sleep and we both know that having 3 kids is already hard. But to do it alone for most of the time is just even hard. Please Gabby, take a breath. Do that for yourself...please babe."

Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "Listen, I am going to relax okay? Think that's what I need right now. Might just sit on the couch." I nodded and agreed. "And I am going to eat breakfast. You already eat?" Gabby nodded. "I had cereal and some juice." I then shook my head. "Then you are going to need to have some pancakes too. Gabby you are breastfeeding 2 kids multiple times a day, you need more than just that. C'mon, I will make you some more pancakes while I eat mine. That way you have enough food in your system for the entire day." Gabby smiled and nodded as she went to kiss me.

I then smiled as I kissed her quickly before leading her towards the kitchen. "Sorry it took so long Camila. We are here to eat now." Camila nodded and agreed. "Don't worry Matt. Now, I already made Gabby some food too so, you don't have to. After that you can relax with your two youngest. Meanwhile, I am going to take Matteo to the ice rink for a bit. We are going to meet up with Antonio, Eva and Diego. Then, they are going to come over here so that they can see you guys. Eva and Diego want to congratulate you."

I nodded and understood. "I wouldn't mind speaking to Sylvie. Wanted to talk to her about her plans with them having 2 kids." Gabby then looked at me. "You going to talk to her as her chief or as her brother-in-law?" I sighed and looked at her. "Both. I know, it's a complicated relationship." Gabby then stared at me. "Then I want you to promise me that you will speak to her as her brother-in-law. You speak to me as my husband all the time, it should be the same when you are in private with Sylvie. Family."

I sighed when she said that. "I can only promise that off shift. Now listen, we need to eat." Gabby nodded and agreed with me as she went to grab her plate. I then went to grab a plate for both myself and Matteo. "Matteo, can you go sit at the table? Daddy will be right over with a pancake for you." Matteo then nodded and agreed as he went to sit at the table. Meanwhile, I looked at Camila who was just finishing a pot of coffee. "Shoot, I don't think we've had this conversation yet Gabby. What is our stance on coffee for me?"

Gabby then turned to look at me as she went to grab some butter and syrup for her pancakes once they were on her plate. She then smiled. "Go ahead and grab some. Considering how busy we are going to be around here with 3 kids, you can drink coffee." I smiled and went to kiss her cheek. "You aren't drinking it until you are done breastfeeding though." Putting some syrup on my pancake and putting some in a little bowl for Matteo, I then went to grab a knife to start cutting them for Matteo. 

That's when Camila walked up to me. "You want me to feed him Matt?" I then shook my head. "No, I got it. I want to feed the kids as much as possible." Camila nodded and agreed. "Then I am going to go eat at the table. Then, I am going to go rest in my room. Now that you are home and ready, I get to sleep during the day." I nodded and agreed. "Of course. That is a good deal. However, I am doing tonight's overnight shift." Camila nodded and agreed as she walked over to the table to eat breakfast.

Gabby then turned to look at me. "Like you have a choice whether or not you are doing a night shift tonight. You are the kids' dad and you are sleeping in the same bed as me." I laughed and agreed while moving to kiss her head. "Of course. Now, I have my pancakes and my coffee. So, I am going to go feed him while I eat. You just relax for now." Gabby nodded and agreed as I walked away to the table. Once I set Matteo's food and my coffee down, I went back to the kitchen to get my plate before going to sit with Matteo. "Breakfast time Matteo." I then went to take a drink of coffee before looking at Ella as she slept in her chair.

Matteo then looked at me, ready to eat. Going to feed him, I smiled as he started to eat when I remembered a drink. "Gabby, I forgot a drink for Matteo. Can you grab him something?" Gabby nodded and agreed as she went to grab him a milk container. "Listen, I am going to go sit in bed to eat so I can make some more bottles? That way you can feed the babies." I sighed. "Gabby just sit here for a minute. I promise, after you can do that. I want to eat breakfast with you."

Gabby then nodded and understood as she went to sit with me. "Plus, you don't take long." Gabby laughed and agreed. "You have a point." I smiled as I turned to look at her before grabbing her hand and intertwining our fingers. I then went to eat while feeding Matteo, ready to spend time with my family today.
