Chapter 163

Matt's POV: After getting dressed and putting my stuff in a bag, I smiled as I came out to the bed to sit with Gabby. Seeing what she was looking at, I smiled. "So, what are we thinking?" Gabby then turned to look at me. "So, I found this place in Gurnee. Great Wolf Lodge. It has themed guest rooms. It's about $300 a night though." I then bit my lip and thought about it. "It'd be for us and Matteo. And of course the babies. I think we have swimwear for them." Gabby nodded and smiled. "I can pack some. But, there's these themed rooms and I thought they were pretty cute. It looks like a local Disney. What are you thinking?" I then smiled. "I mean, it sounds great. But, are you ready for it? The babies are young and it might be quite overwhelming for you."

Gabby then turned to look at me and sighed. "That is always going to be a concern for you isn't it?" I then sighed and tried to thing of a way to say this correctly. "Okay listen, let me just say this. Gabby, of course I am always going to concerned for you. I am your husband and I love you with all my heart." Gabby then went to grab my hand and nodded. "But, am I saying that it concerns me that we are going to be going to a themed water park with 3 kids, all of them under the age of 18 months? Yeah, that's worrying for any parent. But...when my wife has anxiety. It's something I need to take into account much more. You understand what I'm trying to say right Gabby? I didn't screw that up did I?" Gabby then shook her head and smiled.

"You will never screw up when you are being my sexy, loving, concerned, fire chief husband." I smiled when she said that and nodded. "Listen, there is another chance we can do this where I would be more comfortable. I have time off when you are recovering from your surgery. We can go to this place then. That way, Matteo will not bug you as much and instead...he'll want to be in the water. Meanwhile, you can just lay down poolside while I play with him." Gabby smiled when I said that. "That actually sounds like a great time to do it. But, what about the babies?" I then thought about it. "Well, there is always your brother. Or even Jay and Erin. We should ask them whether they would want to join us as a babymoon or something."

I then thought about that and smiled. "That sounds like fun. Either them or my mom. I mean, she needs to spend some time with our kids. Maybe then we can have a night to ourselves, have a nice dinner and a private swim before a nice night alone in bed." Gabby smiled when I brought up that idea. "That sounds perfect. So, when are we doing it? This weekend or when you are recovering?" Gabby then thought about it. "Matteo was really mad/disappointed last night. I think we need to do something for him. So, let's talk to your mom and ask her about the beginning of March. I know we said something else but...let's do it then." 

I then went to grab Gabby's hand and smiled at her. "Gabby, I am going to do whatever you want to do. Are you going to want to travel when you are recovering after surgery? Or would you rather do it this weekend before the surgery to get some stress out?" Gabby then looked at me. "Matt, I travelled a whole lot right after Matteo was born. If it did it then, I can do it now." I nodded and agreed with her. "Okay, then we will talk to my mom about...." Gabby then laughed. "I know, I didn't give you an answer. God, I just feel pressured." I then sighed. "Then it's not the time to do it. We'll do it when you don't feel pressured." Gabby agreed.

"This summer okay? We are way too busy right now and I want to be able to enjoy it too. Take a swim with you. When you get to pick your holidays, book a week and then book the resort. We'll do it then. Maybe we can go for my birthday." I smiled and loved the sound of that. "Sounds perfect. But, let's still do something as a family this Valentine's Day. That okay with you?" Gabby nodded and agreed. "We can do a late night candlelight dinner when the kids are asleep." I smiled when she said that. "Yes, that is what we are going to do." Gabby smiled and nodded when she heard her alarm go off. "Okay, now we need to get up. Can you get the kids and then bring them to me? We can feed them quickly. And then, when I am dressed...we can leave."

I nodded and agreed. "Yes, to my mom's place. I won't be long." I then went to kiss Gabby quickly before getting up and going to grab the kids from their cribs in our room. Putting them on the bed, I then smiled at Gabby. "I will get some toys and stuff for Matteo, feed them and then we can go." Gabby nodded and agreed as I walked away to Matteo's bedroom. Meanwhile, Gabby went to undo her top and fed the babies that morning.
