Chapter 47

Matt's POV:
As I waited for Gabby and Matteo to come back upstairs with breakfast, I smiled as I held Ella in my arms. She was cranky after being up a couple times and she just wanted to be held by her daddy right now. I hoped that Matteo wouldn't mind that she wants me just as much as he does. I mean, I can always play the 'I just had to cancel on my boss' card with him. But, Gabby wouldn't let me. In fact, she'd be really mad if I did that. You know what, Ella has just as much right to cuddle up to me as Matteo. She's his sister and he has to learn to share me.

That's when Matteo walked in with some breakfast for me. "Daddy, I have your bagel for you." I smiled when he walked over to the bed and then got on. "Thanks buddy. How about you sit next to me and I can eat while I hold your sister? Sorry but, she got cranky and needs to lay down with papa right now." Matteo nodded and agreed as I went to grab my bagel. Wrapping my arm around Matteo, I then went to kiss his head. "I love you buddy and I am so sorry I made that meeting. I should've put you first. You are my son and family means everything to me."

Matteo nodded and smiled. He then went to kiss me softly. "I love you daddy." I smiled when he did that. "I love you too Matteo." That's when Gabby came upstairs with some milk for the kids. "Awh, did you guys kiss and make up?" I laughed and nodded. "Literally. Matteo gave his daddy a kiss on the lips." Matteo smiled and nodded as he went to kiss me again. I smiled when he did that. "Wouldn't mind getting one from mommy though." Gabby laughed as she got in next to me. She then went to give me a bottle of milk for Ella before kissing me softly.

She then started to go deeper and gave me a bit of tongue before pulling away. I then stared at her and was not impressed. "You are such a tease." Gabby then smiled as she went to grab some coffee she made for me. "You want the coffee or do I put it in the toilet. Last time I checked, you were the only one who could drink this yet, I made some for you." I then went to grab it and smiled. "I love you." Matteo smiled at me and then looked at Ella. "Can I hold Ella daddy?" I then looked at Gabby to see if she would be okay with it. She then nodded and smiled.

"Here buddy, sit up and put your arms out." Matteo then nodded as he sat up. I then went to put Ella in his arms and showed him how to hold her. "There you go buddy, you're holding her. Think you can hold her while mommy and daddy have breakfast?" Matteo nodded and went to kiss her forehead softly. I smiled when he did that and then kissed his forehead. "You like your baby sister don't you buddy?" Matteo nodded and smiled. "Yes." I then went to rub his back. "Well, you are going to have to protect her from other boys okay. No dating until 16."

Matteo nodded and agreed, already knowing what that is considering both Eva and Diego have boyfriends/girlfriends. I then looked up at Gabby. "Listen, I am going to call in sick tomorrow morning okay? After this, I want to be here for you until after the pediatrician appointment okay? I don't want to miss it. If that was the reaction to me possibly skipping a day...then that might be harder. Plus, I know they are doing shots. Gabby then shook her head. "No Matt, I will just call you after the appointment and come visit. You already got out of work."

I sighed and knew what she meant. "And you are sure that you can go alone?" Gabby laughed. "I think Sylvie and Antonio are going to be there because she has an OB/GYN appointment. Maybe we can all go together." I agreed and nodded. "How about you give them a call and we can set it up? However, I do expect a visit after the appointment. It's on your way home. You are not just going to drive by when you know I want to see the kids whenever I can." Gabby nodded and smiled at me. "Of course. Now, just eat your breakfast while I call Antonio and Sylvie."

I agreed and nodded while eating breakfast while Gabby called her brother. 

Gabby's POV:
As I moved to grab my phone, I smiled when I went to call Antonio. I just hoped that he wasn't working. Putting it on speaker, I waited for him to answer. God, this was going to be fun. Wait, maybe this is a bad idea and I should just ask Sylvie instead. I mean, he is going to be mad that Matt isn't going. I decided to hang up before he could answer. Matt seemed confused when I did that. "Something wrong babe?" I sighed as I turned to look at him. "What if he's mad at you because you aren't going to the shots appointment?"
