Chapter 91

An Hour Later when Matt & Gabby are home:
Matt's POV:
As I finish getting changed out of my uniform and into some sweats, I walk downstairs to go see Gabby. That's when I saw her standing next to Ella's crib, reaching in so that she could rub her head. I could tell she was down and I hoped us coming home was the right move. I was planning on doing whatever necessary to make her feel better, that was my job as her husband and I was planning on making sure that she wasn't worried anymore. Her mind must be racing right now and that wasn't good for her. She needs rest and to relax.

Walking in behind her, I moved to put my hands on her hips while kissing her head. "She's safe and home where she will always belong." Gabby nodded and agreed as she turned around in my arms and wrapped hers around my waist. Looking into her eyes, I smiled as I went to grab her neck before bending down to kiss her softly. "She is our daughter Gabby. Nothing will ever change that. I promise babe." Gabby nodded and agreed. "I am just glad that you are home for the next 2 days. I am not sure whether I want to go anywhere." I nodded and understood.

"And you aren't going anywhere until Valentine's Day. I promise, we are going to go spend Valentine's day somewhere just me and you. We deserve it after this stress." Gabby nodded as she held me close. I then went to kiss her head and sighed. "Where do you want to be right now? You want the kids with us? I understand. However, I want you to rest. Just let me hold you and let me make you feel better." Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "Let's turn the baby monitor on and go upstairs. When the kids are up, we can move them to the cribs up there."

I nodded and agreed. "Right now, you just need me don't you?" Gabby nodded as she looked up at me before going to kiss me softly. Taking it slow with her, I was about to take her upstairs when I heard the doorbell ring. I then sighed and looked down at her. "How in the world could someone know we are home? I mean...it's not like we told anybody." Gabby sighed and nodded. "Let's go see who it is, get rid of them and then we are going upstairs to bed so you can give me a massage." I nodded and agreed as I went to grab her hand to follow her downstairs.

Gabby's POV:
As me and Matt made our way downstairs, I walked over to the door to see who it was. That's when I went to open it to see it was Jay, Erin and Antonio. Antonio didn't even wait for me to invite him in. Instead, he just stepped in and hugged me. "How are you sis? Voight told me everything." I nodded and then just teared up a bit. "What are you doing here?" Antonio then backed up. "Like I am not going to come see you guys." I nodded and understood. "Oh, I fully expected a visit from you. I mean Jay and Erin." Jay sighed as he looked at Erin.

"We wanted to come show support. You shouldn't go through this alone. I get if you want Matt but...I kinda feel responsible for it happening." I was confused when he said that. "How?" Jay sighed. "I ran into her ex at the grocery store. He asked about Jesse. I told him he just gave birth and he assumed it was his kid. Told him that she didn't have the baby anymore and instead you guys did. I didn't know that it would lead to this. Gabby, I am so sorry." I nodded and agreed. "Jay, don't blame yourself." He nodded and agreed as he came to hug us. "Matt?"

Matt nodded and agreed with me. "You are not to blame Jay. It was all that jack ass. But please, the kids are asleep. Come sit with us and stay for a while. We have some time off. However, do not let that girl there get any slober on the cots." Jay then laughed as he looked down at Lucky. That's when he turned to look at Erin. "Shit, I realized something. You want me to go get Olivia from daycare or are we going to keep her there?" Erin smiled when he said that. "Can you go get her please? And take Lucky with you. I am going to stay here with Antonio."

Jay smiled and nodded. "Be right back guys. We are here for you. I don't care if you want to be alone. You need friends right now." I nodded and agreed as I went to let him out with Lucky. Closing the door behind him, I went to lock it and laughed as I moved to go sit with Matt. "Well, this is a nice surprise. Now give me a real hug Antonio. Sorry it was so fast. I was just shocked." Antonio nodded and agreed as he got up and walked over to me, hugging me. "I feel so sorry for you Gabby. How are you guys?" I sighed and let him go before going to sit with Matt. 

Wrapping his arm around me, Matt then put his hand on my leg and sighed. "Where do we start?" Matt then went to kiss my head and whispered to me. "We got a lawsuit requesting joint custody of Ella. So, that was shocking." Antonio sighed and nodded. "I already know that. Hank filled me in and I told Jay and Erin you needed friends right now. So sorry about barging. I just couldn't in good conscious let you guys go through this alone when you are already dealing with so much. Between the kids, and grieving...it's hard." I nodded and agreed with him.

Grabbing Matt's hand, I went to rub it. "Guys, just quickly...we just got the kids down for a nap so can you guys keep it down?" Erin nodded and agreed. "Of course. No promises on Lucky though." Matt laughed and agreed. "Of course. By the way, if she goes in the house...you both are in charge of cleaning it up." Erin laughed and smiled. "Of course. Now, are we going to talk about it or are we just going to glimpse over it?" I sighed when she asked that before turning to look at Matt. "Can I get my frustrations out and then we can move on to Erin's pregnancy?" Matt nodded and agreed. "Go ahead Gabby."

I nodded and agreed with him, ready to vent my frustrations about this entire situation.
