Matt's POV: After making our way into the Firehouse and getting some supper, me and Severide were about to go into the office when Connie stopped me. "Chief, you have messages." I then looked at her and nodded. "Severide, go sit down." He agreed and nodded while going to sit down. "Who are they from Connie?" Connie then looked at them. "Chicago MCC - Ramon Dawson? Any relation to Gabby?" I sighed and looked at her. "Ignore those calls okay? He is not happy that we had another biological child. Stuff changed and it's personal. That's her father." Connie nodded and agreed. "And another one from Chaplain Orlovksy. It's for Gabby."

I smiled and agreed with her as I went to grab the messages. "Thanks Connie. Do you mind maybe taking these in e-mails form now on? Just send me them in an e-mail. That way, you can also mark them important. If they are really important though, please forward them to my cell phone and I will try to answer." Connie nodded and agreed. "You are going to bring the house into the 21st Century aren't you?" I laughed and agreed. "I might try to. You want less paperwork?" Connie nodded. "Yes, please. I will do whatever you need to get it started."

I nodded and understood. "Can you look up stuff that might help your job and memos and stuff? Also, I want everybody here to have their e-mails on their phone. Can you make a paper memo saying that all memos after that one will be sent via e-mail and to check it." Connie nodded and agreed as she went to take notes. "Oh and can you look into upgrading the WiFi in here. It's really slow and I am going to try and also move the reports online. I would rather do them on my laptop. That way I can take them home with me and work from home whenever I can." Connie laughed. "Anything for more time with the kids." I nodded and agreed. "If I'm gone when you get here in the morning then it's because I am home. I am doing shifts like everybody else."

Connie nodded and understood. "Now listen, I am going to go speak with Severide. Might actually get him to switch to the office I have for me and Gabby so I can lay down for a minute." Connie looked at me. "You look tired." I agreed. "Called having a 3 week old, a 4 month old and a 17 month old kid at home." Connie nodded and smiled. "You going to go home at night?" I thought about it and nodded. "Could I? I mean how have the calls been at night lately? We slow at night?" Connie nodded. "It's calmed down since COVID ended." I sighed. "Maybe another day. But, I am not here for the next 2 days. I am still doing shifts. There will be a Deputy Chief. I have no clue who it is. But, it's not going to be me. I have 3 kids at home after all."

Connie smiled when I said that. "Matt, you have it all don't you?" I nodded and agreed. "Dream job, dream wife and dream kids. Dream life is amazing." Connie smiled and agreed. "Chief was so happy for you. When he heard you were having your third child...he was so happy for you guys. He just wished he could've met them." I nodded and agreed. "Me too. Now listen, I need to talk to Severide." She nodded and agreed. Walking in, I looked at Severide. "Sev, we are going to my other office I am keeping for my PIC." Severide then looked at me. "What's up with you?" I sighed. "I need to lay down for a minute. Isn't Stephen up at all hours of the night?"

Severide shook his head. "Hasn't been since Christmas." I then stared at him and I wanted to strangle him. "You are going to be the death of me. How do you get the quiet kid? You of all people gets the quiet kid. Meanwhile, I have 3 devils. Waking me up at 5 am on my first day as chief." Severide nodded and then got up as we made our way to the PIC's office. Walking in, I went to lay down right away while Severide went to take a seat. "So, catch me up on life. How was the wedding? Where was the honeymoon? And how was he born?"

Severide laughed. "Wedding was great. Got action that night. Honeymoon was in New York City, hated the train trip. And Stella had a C-Section. She couldn't do the natural shit." I nodded and agreed. "You should convince her to do it for the second time. I saw it and it was amazing. Gabby had Wally naturally." Severide nodded and agreed. "How was the hospital down there?" I shook my head. "Home birth. Wasn't planned at all." Severide was shocked when I said that. "Woah, your wife sure is superwoman." I nodded and agreed. "And her body is already back to pre-baby. She is a rock star that woman. But honestly, you understand why I went to Puerto Rico right?"

Severide nodded and smiled. "Of course I do Matt. You needed time with your family for her to be better. She's had it rough over the past couple years." I smiled and agreed with him. "Honestly, when we were down there....I was ready to leave my life here in Chicago behind man. I honestly was and that was just amazing. The only reason we are back is because of Boden's will. Had that not been the case, we would still be in San Juan." That's when I heard Tony come over. "Hey Chief, you have a delivery from Gabby. Come and get it before it gets eaten. Well, you also need to convince the woman to give us the food. She requests she sees her Matty first."

I then smiled when he said that. "Severide, we'll continue after." He nodded and agreed as I got up. Walking out of the office, I smiled as I went to see my mom.
