A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 222 - A Surprise

As Lena lays on the floor, Sam quickly approaches her, and as the CFO does this, Eve comes running into the office, clearly having heard the commotion.

"Miss Luthor!" Eve says, "I mean.... it doesn't matter. Is she okay?"

"I don't know." Sam replies, "I think she just fainted."

"What should we do?" Eve asks.

"Call Kara. Right now." Sam says.

"Okay. I'll get right on it." Eve says, and then rushes out of Lena's office, the door closing behind her.

Once Sam and Lena are alone again, Reign soon takes over Sam's body, and looks down at the feeble Lena Luthor below her. Reign knows that this might be a perfect opportunity to actually rid herself of Lena Luthor, and remove one of the biggest barriers to her conquest of Earth, and in her fight to defeat Supergirl and her friends. However, Reign knows that if she does something now, to harm, or even kill, Lena Luthor, then it's highly likely that her existence will be outed to the world. Reign is not ready for that to happen yet, as she cannot risk her existence being outed while she is not at full strength. So, Reign ultimately realises that despite how much of a perfect opportunity this is, she cannot act upon it, she just has to continue to sit back and wait, and bide her time.

"One day." Reign says, as she looks down at Lena, "But not today."

A few moments after Reign finishes speaking, Kara, in her Supergirl suit, lands on the balcony.

"Sam? What happened?" Kara asks, as she goes rushing towards her wife.

In this moment, Reign quickly gives Sam control of the body once more. Meanwhile, Kara gets down to her knees, and begins to examine Lena's body. Once Sam doesn't say anything for a few moments though, Kara looks up at the CFO.

"Sam?" Kara says.

"Hmm... what?" Sam replies, in a bit of a dazed state, like is always the case after Reign gives her back control.

"What happened?" Kara asks, again.

"Oh..." Sam says, her brain now realigning and making sense of the gap in her memory, "She.... just went to get some water. After, she was about to walk back over to the couch, but she lost her balance for a second, regained it, tried to speak, but then collapsed to the floor."

"Oh Rao." Kara says, now really worried for her wife, and thinking that she should have more firmly insisted on Lena not going to work today.

Kara then proceeds to take a few moments to just gather herself, and think on what she should do next. Right now, Kara does want to freak out, because her wife is lying unconscious on the floor for some reason, but Kara knows that that wouldn't help anyone, and certainly not Lena. So, Kara gathers her thoughts, and comes up with a plan of action.

"Alright. I'm going to take her to the DEO." Kara says, "Alex is there, she will know what to do."

"Not The Tower?" Sam asks.

"No. Alura and Morgan are there. I don't want them to see Lena like this." Kara says.

"Alright. Go." Sam says.

Kara then nods her head at Sam, before taking Lena in her arms, and quickly flying out of Lena's office balcony window, and heading in the direction of the DEO.

Kara arrives at the DEO about a minute later, and Alex quickly goes rushing to her side, having noticed Kara landing with Lena in her arms.

"Get me a medical bed!" Alex yells to one of the agents, before turning to Kara, "What happened?"
