Back at The Tower for the last hour and a bit now, Lena, Eliza and Lillian have all been toiling away, trying to figure out a way to make gold kryptonite which they will hopefully be able to use on Reign to permanently strip her of her powers, therefore not making her a threat of escaping any prison that they eventually put her in. Of course, making this gold kryptonite is not an easy task or anything, as it's not like they have a guide book as to how to make the gold kryptonite in the first place. All they know is that gold kryptonite has existed before, and was created by Lex, but they have no idea how to get to the end point of actually making the gold kryptonite, which involves knowing it's structural properties and everything. Then, at the same time, Lena is also well aware that while her brother may have made some form of gold kryptonite, her never made a stable enough version to actually be considered a true success, as after all, if Lex really was able to make a type of kryptonite that permanently stiped kryptonians of their powers, then there is no way he wouldn't have tried to use it on Superman before he was sent to prison, and then Kara after he escaped and they all had to deal with him. Therefore, for Lena, she knows that this means for her, Eliza and Lillian, that they are going to have to take the development of this gold kryptonite even further than Lex was able to. Lillian and Eliza might both be confident in Lena's abilities to lead them there, claiming that Lena is smarter than Lex, which even Lena herself agrees with. However, the major thought that Lena has had in her head over this last hour and a bit, since they began working on this, is that just because she is generally smarter than Lex, that doesn't mean that she will be able to achieve everything that Lex wasn't able to achieve, and nor does it mean that she is better at every single thing that Lex ever did. At the end of the day, one of the things that Lena has kept in her mind, is that Lex had a very sick and twisted mind, and therefore thought of things in a different way than Lena does, and that is not a rabbit whole Lena ever wants to go down, as she is not that type of person, she is not Lex. Either way, Lena knows that all she can do, as well as Lillian and Eliza can do, is try their best, and see what happens. That said, it doesn't really help that they are very much on the clock, and need to make this kryptonite as soon as possible, so they can use it on Reign before she hurts anyone else. Lena is actually pretty confident that if she had months of research, and time to slowly develop everything, and do several, or even hundreds, of tests, then she would be able to make a version of gold kryptonite. However, that is not the situation they are face with, they don't ever tend be faced with the ideal situation, that is life, so Lena is just going to get on with everything.

Over the last hour and a bit, Lena, Lillian and Eliza have run several tests comparing the structural properties of harun-el to kryptonite. Of course to do this Lena has very much had to let Lillian and Eliza take charge, and take a step back herself, because she cannot be too near any kryptonite or harun-el, due to actually being a kryptonian herself now. Lena has put her super suit on, and activated the kryptonite shielding mode that it has built into it, but even with that both Eliza and Lillian have been very firm with Lena not getting close, and while Lena may argue with most other people about this, the thought of arguing with two of her maternal figures about it is certainly not something that Lena wants to do. The very thought of it makes her feel like a little girl about to be told off by her parents for doing something wrong. So, Lena has just had to let both Lillian and Eliza take the lead with the physical tests that have been run on the kryptonite and harun-el to compare the two, which will hopefully then give them a lot of data to work from. Of course, at the same time, Lena is also well aware of her promise to the people of Argo, where she promised to help them resolve their issues in regards to being reliant on harun-el to keep Argo going, but that is not something that Lena can focus on right now, but she hasn't forgotten. All Lena thinks is that in the worst case scenario, at least these tests will hopefully reveal even more about harun-el, which will probably help her when she has to get back to trying to resolve Argo's problem.
