A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 307 - Spaceship Repairs

Kara and Lena have just made it to the front entrance of L-Corp, meaning that they do each finally have signals on their phones. So, Lena, for her part, has decided to just call Lillian at The Tower, to see how she is getting on with the reprogramming that she left her to do, and also see how all the girls are. Then, while Lena is doing this, Kara is calling Winn, to see how her friends is getting on working with J'onn's spaceship, to make sure it's ready for spaceflight when they have to leave soon, to go and retrieve the material that might be able to save Sam.

"Hello, dear." Lillian says, answering the phone after two rings of Lena calling her.

"Hello, mother." Lena replies, "How is everything getting on at The Tower? How are the girls? And how are you doing with recoding my programme?"

"The girls are all fine. Alura and Morgan have been having an excellent time with Eliza and Lillian. Alura did even come in and sit with me for a little while, as I just finished up a few last lines of code." Lillian explains, "As for Lori, I think she wants her mom back so she can have something to eat. She has been a bit of a grumpy little baby these last 20 minutes. Eliza did change her, and everything, but nothing has stopped her from crying. The only other solution is that she's hungry, and there aren't any bottles to feed her here."

"Oh..." Lena says, "Well, Kara and I have just finished up here at L-Corp. So we should be heading to The Tower in a few moments."

"Okay. I'll let Eliza know." Lillian says.

"But how did the coding go?" Lena asks.

"Very well." Lillian replies, "I was able to finish it up about 15 minutes after you left, and have put it on the handheld device which you made. I'm sure you'll want to run some tests on it once you get here though."

"Yes. I will." Lena says, "Well, that's all good at least."

"Yes, it is." Lillian replies, "Did you create your own suit for your trip? Was it all successful?"

"Yeah, it was." Lena replies, "I've made the suit, and used nanotech so that it's a ring on my finger that I can activate. While we were waiting for the suit to be built though, Kara and I looked through the thumb drive that Viviennne gave Kara."

"Oh, what did you find?" Lillian asks.

"I..... Let's just say, it ended up causing Kara and I both to cry. There's a video message on there for Morgan, from Vivienne. Then, there is also a bunch of different information about Morgan, and her species. Then many more files we didn't even get a chance to get to today." Lena explains.

"Oh, okay." Lillian says.

"Anyway, I'll let you go now. Kara and I should be back to The Tower soon." Lena says.

"Okay. See you soon dear." Lillian says.

"Bye." Lena says.

"Bye." Lillian says back, with the call then ending.

Meanwhile, as Lena has been having her call with Lillian, Kara has been talking to Winn on the phone.

"Hey Winn." Kara says, as the call begins, "It's Kara. How is everything going?"

"Uhhh....... I..... don't know to be honest." Winn says, in an unsure voice.

"What do you mean?" Kara asks.

"I mean... this whole situation is not ideal. J'onn refuses to leave watching over Reign's cell for more than a minute. So basically, we've been communicating via text. And honestly, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing here. This tech.... it's beyond me. I really need J'onn to be here with me to help me, or guide me, with this." Winn says.
