A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 368 - Finding Reign

Lena is now approaching Mojave Springs, obviously seeing as Lena is still new to flying, and also doesn't exactly know where Mojave springs is, Winn has been guiding her over the comms, giving her a general bearing and then directing her which specific direction to go as she got closer to the location. Then, at the same time, Lena hasn't been flying anywhere near as fast as Kara or J'onn as while Lena can feel that she could probably fly a lot faster than she has been, she doesn't think right now would be a good time to test the extent of her superpowers. However, Lena does make a mental note in her mind to explore her powers further, at a future date, when they have time, and everything is settle with Reign and Leviathan. Lena, for her part, does think she wants to become some superhero like Supergirl, who flies around the city helping people, or assisting Supergirl all the time, but she does still think it is wise for her to know her powers in case the need to use them every arises, like it is right now. It makes Lena think that she and Kara really need to take a similar approach to Morgan and Alura too, as the two girls shouldn't need to wear their bracelets all the time to keep their powers in check. They need to know how to control them, and Lena is pretty disappointed in herself and Kara that they haven't made more time to continue to explore this with Morgan and Alura recently, despite how hectic their lives have been.

Soon enough, Lena finally sees the town of Mojave Springs in the distance, and is then directed by Winn that Kara is at the South West end of the town, while J'onn is at the other road going out of the town to the north east. Lena is soon able to work out specifically where Kara will be because as she approaches the town she can see a single road leading out each side of the town, with there clearly being no other way in or out of Mojave Springs, unless you want to take a long walk through the desert of course.

"Lena, I see you." Kara soon says over the come unit.

"Where are you?" Lena says, now approaching the road leading out in a south west direction of the town and not seeing Kara anywhere.

"I'm above you. A few hundred feet. I wanted to remain high up so I'm not seen." Kara says, "We certainly don't want people wondering why Supergirl is hovering over a town in the middle of the desert."

"Oh.... right." Lena says, and now looks up and soon sees a small little spec a few hundred feet above her, which must be Kara.

Lena now begins to ascend up to Kara, and as she does Lena gets a bit of a wobbly feeling in her stomach, as she realises how high up she is, with there being nothing around her, nothing to ground her and secure her or anything. Lena has always been one that isn't a fan of flying, but those fears have sort of eased over recent years, mostly because she knows she has her wife who will always save her, if the need arises. However right now a few of those fears seem to be arising in Lena, nothing that is going to cause Lena to have a full blown panic attack or anything, Lena just feels rather uneasy right now, that's all.

"Hey." Lena soon says, once she reaches Kara's altitude.

"Hey." Kara smiles back, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah.... I'm just... a little bit uneasy.... being this high up.... it has me.... tense. I know I can fly and everything, and am a Kryptonian now, so nothing is going to happen, but still, it's a little weird." Lena admits.

"Oh. Are you sure you are up to this then?" Kara asks, "We don't have to do this if you are feeling unsure or anything. We will find another way."

"No. I think I'll be okay." Lena says, with a nod of her head.

"Okay, if you are sure." Kara replies.

"I am. Now, what should I do?" Lena says, "I mean, I understand what I'm supposed to do, but how have you been going about doing it?"
