A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 301 - Returning from Leviathan

Kara has now just arrived back at National City, and currently she still has the dead body of Vivienne in her arms. Kara does want to go directly to The Tower, and put Vivienne's body there, and figure out what to do with her, and where to burry her later, but Kara knows that Morgan is at The Tower. Kara certainly doesn't want the 4-year-old stumbling across her birth mom's dead body, that will truly be traumatising to the girl. So, Kara's only other option, is to fly to the DEO. That is not ideal, but it's really all Kara has right now. So, that is exactly what Kara does, with the blonde superhero flying in the direction of the DEO.

Kara arrives at the DEO a few moments later, with her landing on the big balcony. As Kara does, all eyes fall on her. Kara doesn't say anything, she just begins walking towards the medical bay, with Vivienne in her arms. As Kara does this, one of the doctors does walk towards her, clearly ready to help treat Vivienne, however, Kara simply shakes her head, giving the signal that there is nothing the doctor can do. Soon, Kara arrives in the medical bay, where she places Vivienne on one of the beds, letting out another sigh of sadness as she does.

Kara doesn't get to spend too long in her sadness, looking at Vivienne though, as she is soon interrupted by Alex bursting into the medical bay, clearly having been alerted that Kara has arrived at the DEO.

"Kara, why the hell have you.... what..... who is that?" Alex says, stopping in her tracks upon seeing Vivienne.

"Her name is..... was.... Vivienne. She is Morgan's birth mother." Kara explains, in a sad voice, "She.... she helped Nia and I get into Leviathan, and help us get Nia's sister out..... But.... things didn't go to plan..... There was a fight and...... Talia.... the leader of Leviathan.... she killed her....."

"Oh..... I..... I'm sorry, Kara." Alex says.

Kara simply nods her head, and lets out another sigh.

"What.... what do you want me to do with the body?" Alex asks.

"I don't know yet." Kara says, "I didn't want to just leave her there. I thought.... maybe we could burry her somewhere.... so that one day, when Morgan is old enough..... I can take Morgan to her grave....."

"Yes, okay.... I..... I can figure something out for you." Alex says.

There is then a silence in the medical bay as Kara and Alex just look at Vivienne.

"Uhhmmm..... anyway..... the reason I came in here.... your wife has been blowing up all of our phones.... panicking about you going into Leviathan.... even more so after Nia got back to The Tower without you." Alex says.

"Wait.... Lena's at The Tower?" Kara asks.

"Yes, she just got back home. She has finished everything in Hawaii." Alex explains.

"Oh... that's good.... I.... I better go see her." Kara says, "Can you.... can you cover her for me?"

"Yes, of course. You go." Alex nods.

"Thank you." Kara says, and then leaves the medical bay, flying in the air a few seconds later, and heading in the direction of The Tower.

Kara arrives at The Tower a few moments later, landing on the balcony of their secret hideout. Right away, as soon as Kara lands, the blonde sees her wife come rushing towards her, clearly with a very panicked look on her face.

"Kara." Lena says, with a gasp, and quickly takes Lena in for a hug.

"Hi, I'm here." Kara says, as she hugs her wife, tightly.

Lena and Kara continue to hug for the next few moments, not saying anything else to each other. Eventually though, Lena parts from Kara, and soon grows an angry look on her face.
