A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 268 - Pizzas

It is now about an hour later, and all the pizzas that Lena has ordered are just arriving. Lena ordered so many pizzas in fact that the pizza delivery people had to get to her and Kara's home using two cars. They surely must think that they are having a massive party, as Lena actually spent close to $500 on pizza and sides. But, at the end of the day, Lena doesn't care about the money, as she probably made more than $500 in interest in her bank account in the time it took her to order the pizza and for them to arrive. This way Lena knows that everyone that is here will be well fed, including both Kara and Alexander, who each likely have rather large appetites, due to them both being Kryptonians. This isn't to mention the fact that Lena herself also has a very large appetite now, due to the fact she is almost completely a Kryptonian herself. All in all, Lena ordered 35 large pizzas, all in various different styles, both in terms of toppings, and in terms of pan/Italian crust. Then, on top of the pizzas, Lena has also ordered 5 sides of potato wedges, 4 sides of garlic bread, 5 sides of mozzarella sticks, 4 sides of chicken wings, and 5 sides of potato skins. From all this food, Lena is more than confident that everyone will be well fed tonight. Lena did consider also ordering some desserts for them all, but she thought that having a bunch of desserts might be inappropriate considering what has happened to Sam. However, Lena did make sure to tip the delivery drivers very well for bringing such a large quantity of food to her home.

Now though, Lena has managed to bring all the pizzas inside, and set them up both in the kitchen, and on her main dining room table. Lena would have liked to just put them all on the dinning room table, but there simply was not enough room, due to how much food she ordered. Once that is sorted, Lena calls out for everyone, just hoping they can hear her, and much to Lena's surprise, Alexander ends up being the first one there, using his super powers to just fly in and startle Lena.

"Rao!" Lena gasps, as Alexander makes her jump.

"Sorry, ma." Alexander says, with a smirk, and is already opening one of the pizza boxes to grab a slice.

"I see you are very much like your mom in your regard for food." Lena says, with a roll of her eyes.

"Well, both of you, really." Alexander smiles, "I know right now you are not fully a Kryptonian, but once you are, you and mom will each have a big appetite. Although, I will admit, I don't think you ever eat as much as mom does."

"Well..... I guess that's...... good to know.... Well.... not really. But it is what it is." Lena says, not really liking the idea that she will have to eat as much food as Kara in the future, just because of how much time that will take, unless she uses her powers to eat the food quicker like Kara does, on occasion.

"Yeah." Alexander chuckles, in a voice that very much tells Lena that he knows something that she doesn't, which he clearly does. He knows many things that Lena doesn't.

A few moments later, Lena and Alexander are joined by Lillian, Elizabeth and Alura, with Elizabeth carrying Alura in her arms, despite the fact Alura is 6-years-old. Lena thinks that Alura will probably enjoy being carried by one of her family members for as long as they will be physically able to do so.

"Ohhh! Pizza!" Alura says, with a happy smile.

"Yes, darling." Lena smiles, "Where is your sister? I though she came into your room to talk to you about us ordering pizzas."

"She did." Lillian nods, "But she went back in with Kara after about 15 minutes. They are just getting up now."

Just as Lillian finishes saying this, Kara comes walking into the room, carrying Morgan in her arms, who is rubbing at her eyes, clearly signalling that she went back to sleep, cuddled with Kara. A few moments after this, J'onn arrives.
