A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 369 - Become a Waitress

"What in Rao's name is she doing?" Kara asks, "Why is she in there with all those men around her, and why is she dressed like that then?"

"She's obviously planning something. And I don't like that." J'onn says, as he continues to look at Reign in the diner.

"What should we do then?" Kara asks.

"Can I seriously not come and have a look?" Lena asks.

"No!" Both Kara and J'onn say at the same time.

Lena huffs at Kara and J'onn saying that.

"Winn, give Lena the directions to fly back to National City." Kara says, "Lee, please go home and be with the girls. I will be back as soon as we are done here."

"Fine. Okay." Lena says, after a moments silence, "But I'm going back home in protest."

"Fine. That's noted." Kara says, with a smirk on her face.

Kara and J'onn now continue to look at Reign, through the window, and simply try and figure out what she is doing, and what her plan is. It makes Kara and J'onn very nervous to see all the people around Reign, as while it doesn't look like she is about to attack any of them right now, that can change without any warning, and Reign could simply kill all of them.

"We...... need to find a way to put this tracker on Reign somehow. But.... I don't see how we can do that with so many people surrounding Reign." J'onn says.

"She's in a diner, you said, right?" Lena says, over comms.

"Lena, I thought I said for you to go back home." Kara huffs.

"I am. Keep your pants on, Supergirl." Lena says back, sarcastically, "I just thought, if she is in a diner, is she drinking anything, or eating any food?"

"Uhhh..... not that we can see." Kara admits.

"Okay, well, if you can get the tracker in her food or drink, and have her eat it, the tracker should stay inside her. I can activate the nano tech to make sure she doesn't pass it or anything, and then we will have a way to track her without having to worry if she finds the tracker on her body or clothes, and then removes it." Lena explains.

"That..... is a good idea." J'onn says, "But the only problem is, how do we get the tracker into some food or drink, and make sure she eats or drinks it?"

"I mean, there is an obvious way, but I'm not sure Kara, and everyone else, is going to like it." Lena says.

"What's your idea Lee?" Kara asks.

"Have J'onn shapeshift into a waitress who serves Reign, and put the tracker in her food." Lena says.

Kara very much grows a look on her face which shows she isn't thrilled by that idea. Kara is aware that J'onn has sworn on his daughter's memories that he won't do anything stupid, like try and engage Reign, and take them on himself. However, when it comes to Reign, J'onn really has been acting irrationally recently, which is a bit out of character for him. J'onn usually is one of the most level headed people, who thinks before he acts. But when it has come to Reign, it's almost like J'onn has been obsessed with stopping her, and trying to prevent anyone else from getting hurt or killed by her, but in his attempt to do this, he hasn't been thinking clearly and has been acting like everything falls to him, and he is the only one who can stop Reign, when in reality, Reign has shown that J'onn is no match for her, multiple times now. Obviously Kara understands that a large part of J'onn's actions are driven by guilt, guilt of people that Reign has hurt, and guilt of the DEO agents she has hurt or killed, as J'onn, due to his abilities, is a very emotionally sensitive person, so guilt always weighs heavy with him.
