A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 280 - It Begins

It is now the following morning, and Kara and Lena are just waking up after going to bed last night soon after Lena found the way to actually detect the material the Leviathan sword is made from, out in space. The only issue is, even with a little bit of searching that Kara and Lena did last night, before bed, they were not able to find the card that the scientists in Hawaii gave Lena. However, Kara and Lena know that there are a few other places that they should be able to search to find the card, with the main one being their penthouse, which still has some of their stuff in it. Ultimately though, finding the card isn't that important right now, as Kara and Lena are well aware that today is probably going to be the day when Kara has to face Reign once more. Lena, of course, is a little terrified about that, seeing as what happened to Kara the last time she faced Reign, but she is just hopeful that with the training Kara has done with J'onn, and the plan she has made with him, along with the minor upgrades she has made to Kara's suit, Kara will be able to defeat Reign this time. That will then just lead to the next headache, of testing to see if the cell she and Winn built for Reign actually works, and then go from there to potentially save Sam. Lena knows they need to take things one step at a time though.

"Good morning, darling." Lena says, as she looks over at Kara.

"Morning." Kara smiles, and leans in to take her wife in for a morning kiss.

"Hmmm." Lena hums, happily, "Have you been awake long?"

"Only a few minutes." Kara replies, with a happy smile.

"That's good. It means you got a decent amount of sleep." Lena says.

"Yeah." Kara nods.

Lena and Kara then just lay there, with smiles on their faces, as they look at one another with happy smiles, not saying anything else.

"Ooo." Lena soon says.

"What?" Kara asks.

"Lori is up and kicking." Lena says, as she pulls down the covers, and places a hand on her belly.

Kara now reaches over, and she feels Lori kicking against Lena's belly too. It just makes both Kara and Lena grow massive smiles on their faces.

"Well, she's going to be a real athlete, isn't she?" Kara smiles.

Lena chuckles at Kara saying that.

"She can be whatever she wants to be." Lena says, with a loving smile.

"Damn right." Kara replies.

Kara and Lena just continue to lay there for a little while, feeling Lori kick. However, after about 5 minutes, Lena finally realises that she can't stay in bed any longer, because Lori is actually starting to kick her bladder, meaning she is pretty close to peeing herself if she doesn't empty her bladder now. So, with Lena doing this, Kara gets out of bed as well, and goes to wake both Alura and Morgan up.

After this, over the next hour, everyone who is staying at Kara and Lena's house, slowly begins to wake up, with them all having a nice breakfast. This time, Lillian is actually the one who basically takes charge of giving everyone breakfast, relieving that duty from Lena. Kara, Lena, Elizabeth and Lillian all then work together to make sure that Morgan and Alura get washed and dressed once they finish their breakfast, as they don't want them to not be completely ready for the day, knowing that Reign could start things, and attack at any time.

At around 10:20AM, everyone staying at Kara and Lena's home is ready, and this is pretty lucky, as about 10 minutes after this, Lena gets an urgent phone call from Winn.

"Hello, Winn?" Lena answers.

"Lena, I need you to come to the DEO, right now." Winn says.

"Why, what's up?" Lena replies.
