A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 353 - Flash & Supergirl

Nia and Kara have now just stepped through the portal, and are welcomed by the sight of several members of Team Flash, standing there, with concerned looks on their faces, obviously being completely unsure as to who was going to step through the portal, into their own Earth. Obviously, Kara is very familiar, from what Barry has told her, about the bad experiences Barry has had with people not from Barry's own Earth, coming to this Earth, and terrorising it. In this regard, Kara really wishes that she could have called ahead of time, and let Barry know, so that he didn't have to worry. Unfortunately though, due to the communication device being absolutely broken, Kara was just unable to do this, hence the tense looks on everyone's faces right now. Thankfully though, as soon as Team Flash see that it is Kara coming through the portal, all of their expresses relax.

"Kara." Barry smiles, walking up to his superfriend, and taking her in for a hug.

"Barry." Kara smiles back, hugging Barry too.

"What are you doing here?" Barry asks, once she and Kara part from their hug.

"Yeah, you scared the hell out of us. We had no idea who was going to come through this portal when it opened up." Cisco says.

"Sorry about that." Kara replies, "The communication device that you gave us broken, so we weren't able to call ahead."

"Seriously? That took like, a month, to build." Cisco says.

"Sorry. There was an accident, and it was destroyed, or at least broken, so my friend Winn no longer knows how to put it back together." Kara admits.

"Every time!" Cisco says, shaking his head.

"Come on, Cisco, you can make another one." Barry says.

"Yes, don't you have like 4 of them, to spare?" Caitlin asks.

"Yeah, I just hope you don't break the next one!" Cisco replies.

Barry simply shakes his head at Cisco being ridiculous like that.

"Anyway, I presume you didn't come all the way here just because your communication device got broken?" Barry asks.

"No. We actually came here, because I need to speak to Oliver. I need to ask him about the Lazarus pits on this world, because we have come across them in ours, or at least, mention of them, and we need to know more about what they are, and what they can do." Kara explains.

"Ah, okay." Barry nods, and now turns his head to look directly at Nia, "And I'm sorry, you are? I know I remember seeing you at Kara and Lena's wedding, but I don't quite remember your name."

"Oh, Barry, this is Nia Nal. Nia, this is Barry Allen." Kara explains.

"It's nice to meet you." Barry says, with a polite smile.

"It's nice to meet you all as well." Nia smiles back, as she looks at Barry, Caitlin and Cisco, all of whom are standing in the room in Star Labs right now.

"Hey." Cisco says, awkwardly.

"It's always nice to have another female in the room." Caitlin smiles, widely.

Nia smiles back at Caitlin saying that.

"Nia here is sort of a superhero in training." Kara explains, "She.... well.... she has already saved me a few times now, so maybe that training isn't really as needed as it seems."

"Oh, so what powers do you have?" Cisco asks, curiously, "Can you fly like Kara? Or, is it super strength? Or maybe you are fast like Barry? Or perhaps you just have really quick reflexes or something. Or maybe you..."
