Chapter 387 - Safety Measure

At The Tower, over the last few hours Lena has had long conversations with both Lillian and Eliza about how they are going to go about making these different forms of kryptonite, once Lena has made a computer programme to sequence the different molecular structures of these kryptonites. Of course, in regards to all this, the big thing that Lillian, Lena and Eliza have all continued to keep in mind, is the security measures they will have in place, so that no kryptonian is actually exposed, accidentally, to these different forms of kryptonite. They all know that they have to be even more careful now, about this, as not only do they have multiple kryptonians who could be affected, but they have a pregnant woman, who is slowly going to become a kryptonian, so the last thing they want is for Alex to get exposed, and then for that to affect the pregnancy in some way or other. Obviously, the group have discussed about the fact that it does seem like Lena is immune to green kryptonite, seeing as she had no negative side effects from accidentally touching it the other day, however, Lillian and Eliza still don't want to take any chances. They have no evidence to suggest that just because the green kryptonite wasn't affecting Lena, that other forms of kryptonite that they do end up making won't affect her also. Plus, seeing as their end goal is to actually make a form of kryptonite that permanently removes kryptonians powers, they really don't want Lena to be exposed to that, realise it does affect her, and then for the brunette CEO to permanently lose these powers that she gained. Even though, at times, for Lena, these powers can be a little overwhelming to have, and for the first few weeks of having them, she did think about how she didn't want them, she would not give them up now. Lena likes that she has these powers, and can see the advantage of having them, especially if they will give her a longer life, and therefore more time to spend living with Kara, and their children, and grandchildren, and all the descendants that come after that. However, Lena is also aware that perhaps Sam and Alex may ultimately not feel this way, so maybe they will want to lose their powers. That will just have to be something they discuss in the future, not now. For now, they need to focus on the task at hand.

While Lena, Lillian and Eliza have been talking about everything they need to do to make these different forms of kryptonite, Lena has also been able to contact Winn and J'onn, and inform them of the recent developments, with the L-Corp CEO being told that J'onn and Winn will not be able to join them until later that evening, seeing as the two are still busy at the DEO, continuing to improve various safety measures at the Department of Extra-normal Operations, hoping that doing so will make the building more secure if they ever face another attack by the likes of Leviathan, or Reign. At the same time, Lena has also been told that Winn has continued to regularly check in on the tracker that they have planted on Reign, and from the last time he looked, she was heading to Las Vegas. Hearing this does make Lena a little nervous, seeing as Las Vegas is a very populated area compared to Mojave Springs, but really there is not much they can do about things until they actually have the gold kryptonite ready. A showdown between Reign and Supergirl would certainly put a lot of innocent people in danger if it were to happen in Las Vegas. So, Lena knows that the only real solution is to hope that Reign does not cause too much destruction, and for them to work as quickly as possible to make this gold kryptonite.

While Lena, Lillian and Eliza have been continuing to focus on the kryptonite stuff, Kara has been the one that has mostly been entertaining the girls, which has basically been her task all day, talking and having fun with Morgan, Alura and Ruby. Of course, Nia has also been there, playing with the girls, and talking to them too, but the young reporter has also had to take a few naps, her powers really catching up to her, and causing her to have to sleep a bit. Nia hasn't had any dreams, or visions of anything useful, like future insight as to what may happen or anything. Nia has really just had normal dreams, which honestly has been pretty nice for her. It does get a bit tense for Nia, thinking about the fact that every time she falls asleep, she may end up having a vague dream of events that might happen, which she has then got to interpret and everything. It kind of makes falling asleep become a lot less of a relaxing experience.
