Over the last few minutes, Lena and Lillian have been going over all the data that they were able to collect from Alura exposing herself from the harun-el. Of course, at the same time, Lillian and Lena have been making sure that Alura is still okay, which thankfully she has been. Alura has just needed some time to sit down and recover from the painful ordeal of being exposed to the harun-el. For Alura, as soon as Lillian took the harun-el out of her hand, the pain did go away, completely. However, Alura's body could still feel the lingering effects of the pain, with all her muscles having tensed up completely due to the pain itself. Therefore, it's just taking time for her muscles to relax again, with the other lingering effects really just being the memory of the pain itself, rather than anything else. Also, over these last few minutes, Lillian and Lena have carefully studied the harun-el, which Alura held in her hand, and started to glow purple. The purple glow of the rock actually only lasted a few minutes, and from what Lena and Lillian could see in that timeframe, the genetic structure of the harun-el remained completely the same, with no noticeable change or anything. Lena and Lillian are sure that with more time they would be able to see some property change of the harun-el, but they really don't have time to do that, and to get the same result again they'd need to expose Alura to the harun-el once more. So, Lillian and Lena really have just been trying to look at things from the other data they have completed. Admittedly though, most of this hasn't yielded much useful data, which is very frustrating, as Lena constantly thinks about her wife still fighting Reing in each moment.
"Have you got anything?" Lena soon asks her mother.
"No. Not really. I.... I don't understand." Lillian replies, "From all this data, it really just shows us that while Alura was holding the rock, all her levels spiked up, which is to be expected if she was experiencing severe pain, or growing pain. You'd get similar results in a human that broke their leg or something, and the adrenaline to mask the pain was wearing off. I..... I don't see how any of this is going to be useful for us.""Fuck." Lena says, in an annoyed and worried voice.
There is then a moment silence, as Lena grows a thoughtful look on her face, desperately trying to think about what to do next.
"What..... what if we are looking at this from the wrong perspective?" Lena soon suggests.
"What do you mean?" Lillian asks.
"Well..... we've been looking at this from how the harun-el is affecting Alura, when we expose her to it. What if we really need to study how the harun-el changes when Alura touches it?" Lena suggests, "I mean, we have already seen that being exposed to her, the harun-el started to glow purple after a while. So, there must be something there.""Yes...... I can see what you are getting at." Lillian says, and then glances over at Alura, who is sitting in the other side of the room, still recovering from the ordeal, "But, do you really think it would be a good idea to put Alura through another one of those tests?"
"No." Lena says, with a sighs, "But..... what if we don't need to put Alura through another test? What if we just need some of her DNA. Or more specifically, some of her blood?"
Lillian's eyes light up at Lena suggesting this.
"Yes. That might just work." Lillian nods, "We know that when you briefly touched the harun-el, the rock didn't start to glow purple. Then, at the same time, the harun-el didn't turn purple while Alura was holding it, not until after I ripped it from her hand. Then, when I ripped it from Alura's hand, the rock must have got stuck to her skin, so I ripped some of the skin off, and caused her blood to go on the harun-el. Perhaps the blood is the key?"
