Kara and Lena have now arrived at Alura's home. On their way to Alura's home, they did stop by the market, where Kara and Lena returned their cloaks, with Alura apologising for Kara and Lena stealing the cloaks, and even paid for them, despite not wanting them further, and giving them back. The merchant, for his part, seemed to not actually be mad at all, and basically refused to take the money from Alura, although Alura very much insisted on the matter. Lena watched this, and as she did, she got a glimpse into where Kara gets her heart from. Lena knows that Kara is so kind to so many people, and she can see that she, at least partly, got that from Alura. It is another moment which Lena has cherished, because it's yet another moment where she is learning some new about Kara, which tends to be rare these days, with how long the two have been together now, with them sharing everything with one another.
Once Kara and Lena enter Alura's home, Lena is honestly surprised by how normal looking the house looks. The house is mostly painted with whites, and there are a few plants here and there that are clearly alien, but other than that, the house looks pretty much similar to a nice house back on Earth, perhaps with just a different art style.
"The council have been informed, and they are convening as we speak. It will take them an hour or so to bed ready." Alura says.
"Okay." Kara nods, "That's okay."
Admittedly, Kara is kind of glad about that, because it gives her more time to just talk with her mom, and spend time with her. It truly still hasn't completely sunk in for Kara that standing before her, the woman that she is looking at, is her mom, alive and well. For over half of her life now Kara has thought that Alura died with Krypton, she mourned the loss of her mom, and even named her oldest daughter after her. Yet, here Alura is, standing right before Kara's own eyes, in the flesh, not just some hologram that Kara can yell at, or talk to, with limited answers and information. Kara recognises it's all going to take a while to seem real, like she isn't dreaming, but either way, Kara still wants to continue to talk with her mom, and spend time with her, even if she still does feel like she's in a dream state.
"I have some clothes for you both, upstairs, that you may want to change in to, to get more comfortable." Alura says, "It may be a good idea to wear them when you speak in front of the council."
"Yes, that probably does sound like a good idea. We best set our best foot forward." Kara says.
Alura now grows a confused expression on her face at Kara saying that.
"What... does feet have to do with this?" Alura soon asks.
"No. I'm sorry." Kara says, with a light chuckle, "That's just an expression on Earth."
"Oh. I see." Alura nods.
In this moment, for the first time, Lena notices a brief sad look on Alura's face. It is a sad look that is created by the fact that Kara saying that has made Alura realise just how much of Kara's life she has missed out on, getting to watch her daughter grow up into the woman she is today. It honestly makes Lena feel so bad for Alura, as she can't even begin to imagine how she would feel if she wasn't allowed to see Morgan, Alura or Lori grow up, and blossom into the amazing women she knows they are going to be. Alura, for her part though, quickly hides her brief look of sadness, clearly not wanting Kara to see it, simply putting a smile on her face once more, as she looks at her daughter.
"Let me lead the way." Alura says.
"Thank you." Kara nods.
Alura then leads the way upstairs, to one of the bedrooms, where she proceeds to get out some clothes, that clearly match the style of clothes that Alura is wearing, both for Lena, and for Kara.
