Chapter 371 - Seduction

Now that Reign's tracker is actually in place, everyone is breathing a sigh of relief, especially J'onn. They superfriends now know that Reign won't be able to actually get away from them. Their focus now needs to be on Lena, Lillian and Eliza finding a way to actually develop gold kryptonite to be able to use on Reign, and permanently take away her powers. Of course, they really need this gold kryptonite to be complete as soon as possible, as while Reign may not be able to get away from them that easily now, due to the tracker, she still can cause a lot of damage, and death to everyone else, powers or not.

"Lee..... I have to ask a question which...... honestly I can't believe is something I actually need to ask...." Kara says.

"Okay...." Lena says.

"Seeing as the tracker is...... inside Reign...... because she ate it..... with her food..... isn't there..... what if......" Kara says, and then sighs, "Is she going to eventually pass it?"

"Oh." Lena says, "Well, for a normal tracker, yes, of course, but as this is a nano tech tracker I can make sure that doesn't happen. However, that doesn't mean that the tracker is a way to permanently track Reign forever. While she will not pass the tracker, it is possible, over time, that the tracker might get damaged inside her body, due to her stomach acids and other things, which will eventually cause it to stop responding. So really, this is a temporary solution until we can make the gold kryptonite."

"Okay..... I guess...... I guess this is good enough." Kara says.

"Yeah. Are you both going to come home now?" Lena asks.

"I guess we can..... It kinda feels a bit weird to just leave Reign like this..... but.... if you say the tracker is working..... and will continue to work..... I trust you." Kara says.

"Yes. The nano-tech tracker will be able to tell where Reign is, and if it's still inside her body or not, so we don't need to worry about anything like that." Lena explains, "Of course, this won't stop Reign from attacking or hurting people, but, at the end of the day, it seems like Reign is trying to keep a low profile, therefore it seems unlikely that she is going to hurt or kill anyone right now. Then, even if she did, if any one of us then tried to intervene, it would lead to a fight with Reign, which could mean a lot more people getting hurt, with us still having no permanent solution to stop Reign."

"Yes, okay, I see what you are saying, Lee." Kara says, "It doesn't feel right, but this is really all we can do right now."

"Exactly." Lena says.

"J'onn, you need to get out of there now." Kara says.

"I'm kinda busy at the moment." J'onn replies.

Kara then uses her x-ray vision to look inside the diner and see what J'onn is talking about, and that is when she realises that J'onn is currently in the middle of serving multiple people who have just came into the diner and are asking J'onn to take their orders.

Kara and J'onn now have to wait another 10 minutes, before J'onn is finally free to step back outside, and retake his normal human form. Thankfully, the waitress who J'onn has been impersonating is still unconscious.

"Are you going to wake her up now?" Kara asks.

"Right." J'onn nods.

J'onn now turns to the waitress, who Kara has placed on the floor, with her back against the building, and his eyes turn red. A few moments later, the waitress starts to move, signalling that she is beginning to wake up. Kara and J'onn both take this as their sign to fly off into the air, and start making their way back to National City, which neither of them are thrilled about, as it feels weird just leaving Reign like this, but there is not much else they can do right now.
