A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 253 - Reign Takes Over

It is now the following day, Monday morning, and so far Kara and Lena have had a bit of a difficult time just getting themselves and Morgan and Alura ready to leave the penthouse. After their trip to Paris for the last several days, it's hard to just wake up the next day, early in the morning, and get ready for work. It has particularly been hard for Morgan and Alura, who both really haven't been interested in waking up or getting out of bed. So, Kara and Lena both had to wrangle their daughters, while each being unhappy about how their vacation has ended and they each have to get back to their own jobs too.

Eventually, after a good 40 minutes, Kara and Lena were finally able to leave their house, and they are now just arriving at The Tower, where Lillian and Elizabeth are staying. Just like has become common recently, while Alura and Morgan are not in school over the summer, Lillian and Elizabeth are going to continue to watch Alura and Morgan today, while Kara and Lena work. Of course, Kara and Lena don't want to take advantage of Lillian and Elizabeth, and leave Morgan and Alura with them all the time, but the two grandmas love having their grandchildren spending the day with them, and seeing as they haven't seen them in almost a week now, Kara and Lena think that Elizabeth and Lillian will be more excited than usually to see the girls. That said though, Kara and Lena don't plan to just have Morgan and Alura stay with Lillian and Elizabeth every day of the week. In fact, tomorrow Morgan is going to go to work with Lena, while Alura has a playdate with a friend she met the other week in the park, when Kara took Morgan and Alura to the playground. So, Kara and Lena hope that doing that will at least give Morgan and Alura some variety.

The family are now walking into The Tower, and over the last few minutes, Alura and Morgan have each woken up, and got more excited, to see Lillian and Elizabeth again. As soon as the elevator doors open to The Tower, Alura and Morgan each go running out, ready to find their grandmas. They don't have to run far though, as both Lillian and Elizabeth walk into the main room area, moments after the family step out of the elevator.

"Grandma!" Alura says, and takes Elizabeth in for a hug.

Morgan, for her part, doesn't say anything, she just runs up to Lillian and takes her in for a hug, with Lillian lifting the young girl in her arms, and holding her close. It truly is amazing just how much Lillian has improved over these last few months, going from being basically paralysed, to now being able to walk and also pick up a small child into her arms.

Kara and Lena now walk up to Lillian and Elizabeth, as they each hug their grandchildren, with smiles on their faces. Kara and Lena knew that seeing Lillian and Elizabeth would make their two daughters much less grumpy.

"Hello girls." Lillian smiles at Kara and Lena, as she swaps with Elizabeth from hugging Morgan, to giving Alura a hug, while Morgan hugs Elizabeth.

"Hello, mother. Hi mom." Lena says, with a smile, as she looks at Lillian, and then at Elizabeth.

"Hello." Elizabeth smiles.

"Hi." Kara smiles, politely.

"How was your vacation in Paris? What did you get up to?" Lillian asks.

"We went to Disneyland!" Alura exclaims, happily.

"Yeah!" Morgan says, happily herself.

Kara and Lena both chuckle at their daughters saying that.

"Oh, that sounds really fun!" Elizabeth smiles.

"It was! I didn't want to leave." Alura says.

"Me too. But I'm glad we are home now, and can see you both again." Morgan says, being as cute as ever.

"Awww, that is very nice to hear, Morgan." Elizabeth smiles.

Morgan just smiles widely at Elizabeth.

"Well, I'm sure while you spend the day with the two of us, you girls will be able to tell us all about your holiday in Paris, and what you got up to at Disneyland." Lillian says.
