Chapter 346 - Something to Fight For

It is now a little bit later, and Lena is the one who is sitting at the station which Winn was previously sitting at to monitor the satellite getting into orbit. The reason for this, is the tech that actually allows them to communicate with the heroes from the other Earths is at the DEO, so Winn has had to go get that, leaving Lena to be the one to monitor the satellite, and thereby delaying when Lena will be helping her mother try and track down Leviathan by finding links to their supply lines or something. However, Lena just thinks that this information that may be able to be provided about these Lazarus pits that Leviathan must be using, from Kara's friends from the other Earth, might actually be more helpful than anything else. After all, even if they are able to track down Leviathan by tracing through their supply lines, they would still be completely in the dark about these Lazarus pits, and how exactly Talia has been able to make herself appear to be younger, while also enhancing her strength, and powers. Really without more information on the matter, even if they were to track Leviathan down, they would just be going head first, in the dark, not being full aware of what their opponents are capable of, and Lena doesn't want that. Lena doesn't want another one of her friends and family to be hurt. If they are going to do this, take down Leviathan and Reign, then they are going to do it right, and do it in the safest possible manner. As safe as you can be when you are fighting an evil organisation like Leviathan, and a crazy worldkiller like Reign.

While Lena has been typing away at the computer, checking on the satellite's progress, Kara has decided to go and inform Lillian of the updates on the matter of Leviathan, about the Lazarus pit, and explain while Lena is going to take a while to join her. Then, once Kara has finished explaining to Lillian, she now makes her way further into The Tower to see how Alex, Ruby and Sam are getting on. Of course, while Kara did not listen in to what exactly Ruby wanted to talk to with her moms, she does have a pretty good idea as to what it was. Plus, Kara could also pick up on Alex's heart rate sky rocketing a few times, clearly showing that Alex was nervous or upset about something at some point.

Upon entering the medical bay, where Alex, Sam and Ruby still are, Kara just sees that the little family are still quietly talking with each other, while also giving one another affection, and hugs, although both Sam and Ruby are being careful not to hug Alex on her body or anything, they have really just been holding her hand, and hugging the redhead's arm. This is a nice sight to see for Kara, because it makes her believe that even after everything Ruby, Alex and Sam have gone through, and all the thoughts and feelings Ruby has expressed about the situation to Kara, this little family is going to be okay. Then, this family, before Kara's eyes, is just another example of what she, and everyone are fighting for, as at the end of the day, while Kara might be fighting to protect her own immediate family in Lena, Alura, Lori and Morgan, she is also fighting to protect her extended family too, and Kara now has such a large family. In some aspects it makes Kara wonder how lucky she is, having such a large family, which might seem weird seeing as she has lost multiple members of her family also, including the most tragic moment of Kara's life when she saw Krypton explode before her eyes, with all her family on it, believing they were all dead, and that she would never have a family again. However, Kara now has family, not only in her immediate family with her wife and daughters, but an adoptive mom in Eliza, an adoptive sister in Alex, a sister-in-law in Sam, a niece in Ruby, multiple mothers-in-laws in Lillian and Elizabeth, a sort of father in J'onn, and even her birth mom now too. This doesn't even mention the other people Kara has in her life, who she also considers part of her family, including Winn and Nia. Either way, thinking about this all, and looking at Alex, Sam and Ruby right now, just makes Kara know that no matter what, they are going to win. They are going to find a way to defeat Leviathan and Reign, as at the end of the day, Leviathan and Reign have nothing to fight for other than death and destruction, whereas Kara, and all her friends, have one of the most important things in the world to fight for, family, and each other, which is completely based in love, and love is a powerful force to be reckoned with.
