A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 325 - Blood Machine Modifications

Lena, Alex and Alura are now arriving at the DEO, and are presently making their way into the lab to check on the status of things with Lillian and Winn. Of course, Lena has already insisted that Alex make her way to the medical bay, as they agreed she would, but the redhead is stubborn, and has told Lena she won't go until she actually gets an update in the lab itself, and sees what is happening. Lena, for her part, very much disagrees with Alex doing this, because she is just putting more effort through her body, and thereby making her recovery all the more difficult. However, Lena knows Alex very well by this point, from all the time she has spent with her over these last few years. So, Lena knows that her sister is a really really stubborn woman, and she won't be told anything by anyone. If Alex wants to do something, and is planning to do something, even if it is negative to her own health, no one will be able to talk her out of it. Well, perhaps other than possibly Sam, but Sam is not here right now. So, Lena has just had to go with this, and hope that they'll be able to update Alex as quickly as possible, so she can head to the medical bay after, and rest.

Soon enough, Lena, Alex and Alura enter the medical bay, where they see that Lillian and Winn are busy talking with each other, while Winn works on the machine her and Lena created to combine Lena and Kara's blood all those months ago. It is clear that Lillian is talking through things with Winn, trying to understand how the machine works herself, so that she can possibly lend a hand, and offer Winn some advice on things, and generally help him.

"Hello, how are things going in here?" Lena says, once she, Alex and Alura enter the lab, announcing their presence.

Upon Lena saying this, Lillian looks over at Lena, while Winn looks up at her, as he's sitting on the floor, by the base of the machine right now.

"Hello, dear. Hello, Alex, Alura." Lillian says, with a small smile, "Things are going well, at the moment. Nia and I finished exposing all of Reign's blood to the harun-el, and have stored it in a container. We are not just waiting for Winn to finish the adaptations to this machine."

"Okay." Lena nods, "Do you know how much longer this is going to take, Winn?"

"I'm not sure. Maybe half an hour, maybe more? I don't know." Winn says, as he continues to work away at the machine.

"Alright. I'll come and help you in a bit. I'm just going to get Alex situated in the medical bay first." Lena says.

"I'm fine." Alex says, with a huff, "I can stay here."

"No. You can't." Lena says, in a firm voice, as she turns to look at Alex, "You promised me that you would do as I say, and rest in the medical bay until we are actually going to try this on Reign. You promised me Alex."

"But I...." Alex begins.

"Not buts." Lena says, quickly cutting Alex off, "I swear, if you don't do what I say, right now, I will have no qualms at sedating you, or better yet, I will just call Eliza, and tell her what you are doing right now."

Alex's eyes very much widen at Lena making those threats to her, the redhead knowing that Lena is not lying, she is totally serious when she says she will call her mom, or even sedate her.

"Fine..... fine....." Alex says, "I'll go lay down in the medical bay. But I want to know if there any updates."

"Yes. I already told you I'd give you any updates, Alex. We aren't going to do anything without telling you first." Lena says.

"Okay." Alex says, with a sigh, and now begins to leave the medical bay.

"I have Sam's blood in this container right here." Lena says, gesturing to the container she has been holding in her hand.
