Lena and Lillian now quickly make their way to a lab set up in the DEO, with Nia and Winn following the mother and daughter closely behind. Soon, Lena and Lillian arrive in the lab itself, and that is when the two quickly jump into action, finding a slide to place some of Reign's blood, and placing it next to a microscope, so they can watch what happens. Once they do this, Lillian retrieves a small metal box from one of her pockets, which currently contains a small amount of harun-el which Lena and Lillian broke off from the main part of the rock they have back at The Tower. Of course, they knew that Lillian keeping it on her person would be the best idea, as touching the rock doesn't affect Lillian, even if it is in a small metal container. Then, on top of all that, Lena and Lillian were well aware of Lena's intention to go into the same room as Reign, and having the harun-el with her while doing that didn't seem like a good idea.

"What's in that?" Winn asks, noticing Lillian remove the small metal box from one of her pockets.

"A small, tiny, amount of harun-el." Lillian explains, as she opens the small metal container.

"Here. Put these on." Lena says, handing Lillian some rubber medical gloves which she found on the other side of the room, "We want this test to be as accurate as possible, so we don't want any trace of your human DNA being on the harun-el."

"Right. Of course." Lillian nods.

Lillian now places the container on the table in front of her, next to the microscope and puts on the gloves which Lena has given to her. Lena, for her part, does the exact same thing, even though she has no intention of trying to touch the harun-el or anything. It just feels like the right thing to do while running this test.

"Okay." Lillian says, once she has the gloves on, "are you ready, Lena?"

"One second." Lena hums, as she now looks at the microscope, making sure it has the correct settings, placing the slide underneath it, just for accuracy, even though there is nothing in the slide right now. Lena just wants the focus to be as precise as possible, because she knows they need to see how the harun-el is affecting Reign's blood as quickly as possible.

Now that Lena has adjusted the microscope correctly, she begins to type away at a computer connected to the microscope itself, making sure everything is set up properly. Lena is well aware of just how careful they need to be with this experiment, as it's unlikely they will get a second chance to be able to do all this. So, Lena knows everything really needs to be done carefully.

"What are you doing now, Lena?" Nia asks.

"I'm setting up the programme connected to this microscope, so it will allow us to record everything that the microscope is seeing." Lena explains, "That means that we will be able to review this footage after and double check everything, as it's possible, in real time, we may miss what is actually happening, how the blood may change as it interacts with the harun-el."

After a few more moments of Lena typing away, she finishes, and lets out a sigh of relief. Lena knows that everything is in place now, there isn't anything more that she can do to make this experiment be all the more perfect. All they need to do now, is actually do the experiment. Ideally, Lena would like some more time to check, and double check everything, and really make sure the conditions are truly perfect, but Lena is also well aware that they are still on a clock, and really speed needs to be a factor here as well.

"Okay. I think we're ready." Lena finally says.

"Good." Lillian nods, "Why don't you put some of Reign's blood into the slide, while I get some of the harun-el ready?"

"Okay." Lena nods.

Lena now carefully extracts some of Reign's blood from the syringe, placing it on the slide. To do this, Lena has to be very careful, because only a small amount of blood can actually go on the slide itself, otherwise it just gets too much, and would make things very difficult to look at. So, Lena needs a very steady hand to do this. Luckily, that is exactly what Lena has, and she is able to put a few drops of blood down onto the slide.
