A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 327 - Saving Sam?

It is now a little while later, and everything has been put in order so that they can all enact their plan, and actually try and save Sam, by injecting this harun-el into Reign. Right now, the harun-el has already been heated up, liquified, and put into a special syringe container. Then, several people have all been gathered outside of the room where Kara is still fighting off Reign. Lena has been able to communicate with Kara, just by speaking to her normally, letting her wife know what is going to happen. The one thing Lena did notice throughout all this though, is it is clear that Reign has become much stronger over the last few hours. Kara may still be keeping Reign at bay, but the fights have become more intense, and Reign has actually landed a few blows to Kara, every now and then. This just makes Lena all the more sure that this has to happen now. Outside of all of this, to prepare to actually go into this room, and inject Reign with this liquid harun-el, Winn has arranged for several members of the DEO to escort them into the room too. This means that Lena, Alura and Nia will be walking into the room first, seeing as they are the three with powers, and the ability to actually defend themselves, and the people behind them, if Reign does try and attack them. Then, behind Lena, Nia and Alura, is several DEO agents, who are armed with various weapons, and finally, directly following those DEO agents, is Alex, Winn and Lillian. Alex has very much insisted in being here, to watch this all happen with her own eyes, and Lillian has said she wants to watch it too, because she could help if something goes wrong. Then, Winn has had to join Lillian and Alex, simply because he is kind of still in charge of the DEO, even if Alex is slightly up and about now. Although, it's pretty clear that Alex is only really standing, and walking, through sear willpower, rather than because she physically is able to. Winn is pretty sure that a strong wind might knock Alex over at this point. Of course, one of the main people missing from their current group, is J'onn. Lena has told J'onn what they were about to do, and the martian was very firm about him going in there with them, joining Lena, Alura and Nia at the front. However, as soon as he tried to get out of bed, and onto his feet, despite Lena telling him not to, he collapsed to the ground once more. J'onn still not is in the right shape to do this, so they will be doing it without him, as much as he hates it.

"Okay." Lena says, with a sigh, as they all stand outside of room where Kara is still fighting Reign, with the door still being wielded shut, "Does everyone know what we are going to do? Are there any questions?"

Lena now looks on at everyone, and no one seems to speak up and ask any questions, which Lena takes as a good sign.

"Alright." Lena nods, and now turns to look at Alex, behind the row of the DEO agents, "Alex, this is your last chance to stop this, right now. Are you sure you want us to go through this?"

Everyone now looks at Alex, who just continues to look at the sealed door, knowing that Kara and Reign are behind it right now. After a few moments, Alex does turn her attention back to Lena.

"Yes, I'm sure. Do it, no matter what happens." Alex says.

"Okay. Let's begin." Lena says.

Inside the room, Kara is yet again in the middle of fighting Reign. Reign is walking up to her right now, with a very determined look on her face, one that shows Kara that Reign truly is waiting for Kara to make some sort of mistake or something, so she can capitalise on things. Over the last several hours that this fight has been going on, Kara has been well aware that she can't afford to make any mistakes, or lose focus whatsoever. Kara knows that if given a chance, Reign would kill her. It is just fortunate for Kara that for most of their fight, Reign has been without powers. It is only now that Reign is starting to get some of her powers back. It makes Kara relieved that this fight is nearing it's end, because she knows, from Lena's message, that Lena and the rest of their friends, will be coming in soon, to actually attempt to save Sam. Kara honestly doesn't know how much longer she could last like this. The fight has certainly not been one of powers, or strength. It has been a mental fight more than anything, and even though Kara has had adrenaline going for most of the time, she is getting very very bored. Kara wants this all to be done with just so she can go home, and be with her wife, and her three children. That truly sounds wonderful to Kara, as she just wants to relax with her family.
