A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 272 - Analysing the Sword

"Alright, everyone back to work!" J'onn says, now that Leviathan has left the building.

The DEO agents all follow J'onn's orders, and Winn, Lena, Kara and J'onn all walk towards one another, each with somewhat concerned looks on their faces.

"So, what do we do now?" Lena says, being the first one to speak up.

"We go back to what we were doing." J'onn says, "You and Winn focus on finishing that cell as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Kara and I will get back to training, and we will also try and work with Alex to just try and find a plan of attack that can actually work on Reign. That leader of Leviathan wasn't lying, it will be a difficult fight with Reign if she is willing to kill, while we are not."

"We are not killing her, J'onn." Kara says, "I won't do it. We have to try and see if we can at least save Sam. If we don't, and we just go straight to killing as our first answer, then who are we? We would be just as bad as all the criminals we have put away over the years, including Leviathan."

"I know." J'onn nods, "I'm just.... worried about what could happen, particularly now if we know Leviathan can pop up anywhere and just get in the way, or even attack us in the middle of things."

"Well, that's why the two of you need to get back to your training." Lena says.

"Right." Kara says, with a nod of her head.

Kara then takes Lena in for a brief kiss, and a few moments later she and J'onn fly out of the DEO.

"Shall we get back to it, Lena?" Winn asks, once J'onn and Kara have left.

"Hmmm.... Yes." Lena nods, "But Winn, you wouldn't happen to have any recordings of what just happened in this room, would you?"

"Uhhh.... Yeah.... There are a few cameras here that will have caught everything.... Why?" Winn asks, in a bit of a confused voice.

"Do any of those cameras happen to have sensors attached to them, that could give us extra data?" Lena asks.

"Uhhh.... yeah.... I'm sure there is an infra-red sensor on one of the cameras, and an inductive sensor on another camera." Winn replies, "I still don't know where you are going with this though."

"Get me all of that data, and bring it down into the cell room." Lena says, and makes a move to walk away.

"Hang on!" Winn says, "What is this for? You can't just leave me in the dark. We are supposed to be working together."

"Right.... I'm sorry." Lena says, "But..... I'm thinking, did you see the blade on Talia Al-Ghul's back? I think that is the same blade that was used on Reign yesterday."

"Yeah.... and?" Winn asks, still not following.

"Well, if that is the blade used on Reign, we could try and use any of the data and images we have of the blade to try and figure out what it is made from." Lena says, "If we can figure out more information about the blade, we actually might be able to find something that could help us with stopping Reign, and hopefully not killing her. Then we also might learn more about how to weaken her, and keep her locked in a cell we are building."

"That's a great idea, Lena." Winn says, "But I'm not sure how much data we'll be able to get just from the images, even if it's infra-red or inductive cameras."

"Don't worry about that. I have an L-Corp programme in mind that I developed that might be able to help us. I'll show you once you have gathered all the feeds." Lena says.

"Okay. It'll take me a few minutes, but I'll meet you down back at the cell as soon as I have everything." Winn says.

"Good." Lena nods.
