A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 273 - Nia's Powers

Kara, J'onn and Alex are now heading back upstairs after having finished making the plan for how they are going to go about fighting Reign. Right now, Kara intends to just find what Morgan and Alura are up to, and give her two daughters a big hug, and several kisses. However, before Kara can walk further into the home, after getting up the stairs from Lena's lab, her phone rings. Kara worries that maybe it is going to be Lena calling her again, telling her Leviathan is back at the DEO, so she answers it quickly, without even checking to see who it is.

"Hello?" Kara answers.

"Kara!" A voice the Kara recognises says, with a relieved sigh.

"Nia?" Kara says.

"Yes! It's me!" Nia exclaims, "I've been trying to call you for like the last hour, but my calls just went to your voicemail!"

"Oh..... I'm sorry, Nia." Kara says, "I was downstairs in Lena's lab, I don't think Lena has set it up so she can receive calls down there yet. But, what's up, why do you need to call me?"

"I..... I saw what happened on the news, and I got back to National City as quickly as I could..... but..... something happened Kara..... I..... I'm kind of freaking out..... and I know this is a bad time..... but I really need your help." Nia says, in a very panicked voice.

"Of course, Nia. Where are you right now?" Kara asks.

"I'm at The Tower." Nia says, "I thought you would all be here, but you're not. And.... it's kind of freaking me out. It's weird being alone here."

"Okay. I'll be right there Nia, hang on." Kara says, and then ends the call.

"What was that?" Alex asks.

"Nia has told me that something has happened, and she is kind of freaking out about it at The Tower. I'm going to go get her, and see what's up." Kara says.

"Do you want me to go with you?" J'onn asks.

"No. I'd.... honestly prefer if you'd stay here.... with everyone..... just in case." Kara says.

"Of course." J'onn nods.

"I'll be back with Nia as soon as I can." Kara says, "I might even check in on Lena and Winn, and see how they are getting on."

"Okay." J'onn nods.

Kara then flies out of her and Lena's home, deciding not to go and tell Morgan and Alura she is leaving because Nia sounded like things were urgent, and having to say hello to Morgan and Alura again, only to then tell them she is leaving, would have probably taken a while.

A few moments later, Kara lands at The Tower, and right away she sees Nia pacing back and forth in the main entrance area to The Tower, which the balcony is connected to.

"Kara!" Nia says, in a relieved voice, and goes running over to the blonde, taking her in for a hug.

"Ohhh..." Kara says, not expecting Nia to hug her.

"I'm so glad you are okay." Nia says, "I saw what happened with that other alien.... and I was really worried."

"Well, you could have called or texted one of us." Kara says, realising Nia hasn't sent a message to anyone of them until now.

"I could have..... but I know what happened..... I know about Reign..... I know about Sam." Nia says.

Kara's eyes widen in shock at Nia saying that to her.

"How do you know about that? That's not public knowledge!" Kara says.

"I dreamt it...." Nia says.
