Lena takes the bracelet off, and then everyone just waits, to see if something will happen. To see if Lena will start floating up in the air once more. However, nothing does happen. Lena remains on the bed.
"Nothing's happening....." Lena says, slightly surprised.
"It seems so." Alex nods.
"That's a good thing, right?" Kara asks.
"I can't be sure yet." Alex replies, "We need to know what triggered the powers. I mean, obviously they are caused by the baby. But we need to know why they activated before, and not now."
"How is her heartrate?" Lillian asks, still from across the room.
Alex then looks at the heartrate monitor for a few seconds.
"It.... has gone back down to normal levels." Alex says, "That's..... weird."
"How is that weird?" Lena asks, confused, "Surely that is a good thing, and is at least an explanation of some sort."
"I mean, sort of. Yes." Alex nods, "But..... look."
Alex then removes the heartrate monitor from Lena, and places it on Kara. Kara allows Alex to do this, seeming to recognise what her sister intends to show Lena.
"What are you...." Lena begins.
"Look at Kara's heartrate." Alex says, as she switches on the heartrate monitor once more, now showing Kara's heartrate.
"Yeah......." Lena says, as she looks at the monitor, confused.
"It's faster than a human's heartrate." Alex says, "So, as you have powers, it would make sense for you to have a faster heartrate without using the bracelet, and a slower one while using it. But yours is the other way around."
"Oh. I understand now." Lena says.
"What does this all mean then?" Kara asks, in a concerned voice.
"I can't be sure yet. We'll have to run a few more tests on Lena." Alex says, as she unhooks the heartrate monitor from Kara, and puts it back on Lena once more.
"Perhaps it has something to do with the baby?" Lillian suggests, from across the room.
Kara and Alex now turn to look at Lillian, putting their backs to Lena.
"What do you mean exactly?" Alex asks.
"Well, maybe due to Lena being pregnant with a half-kryptonian baby, her heart rate is increased while she is wearing the bracelet because it is putting in extra work to sustain the baby. But when she is not using the bracelet, and has powers, then her heart doesn't need to work as hard, so beats slower?" Lillian theorises.
"Hmmm... Yes. Something like that is possible." Alex replies.
"So, does that mean Lena shouldn't be wearing the bracelet at all then?" Kara asks.
"We can't be sure about that yet." Alex replies.
As Kara and Alex continue to look in Lillian's direction, with Lillian looking back at them, they soon notice that Lillian's eyes go wide.
"Uhhhh.... guys!" Lena calls out.
Kara and Alex then turn around, facing Lena once more, and that is when they see that the brunette is floating about a foot off the bed.
"Oh Rao." Kara says.
"Get me down!" Lena says.
Kara quickly grabs Lena, and pulls her back down to the bed, holding her in place.
