A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 236 - Plane to Paris

Kara, Lena, Eliza, Morgan and Alura are now just pulling up to the private airport hanger, where Lena's private jet is waiting for them, along with Alex, Ruby, Sam, and their car too. Thankfully, traffic was pretty good coming from the penthouse to the private airport, so they didn't get any later than they already were, meaning that Sam, Alex and Ruby probably only had to wait for them for about 20 minutes. Lena hopes that most of that time they just occupied themselves by getting their bags put into the cargo hold, while also getting acquainted with the plane itself.

"Took you long enough!" Sam says, with a scoff, as soon as Lena and Kara climb out of the car.

"Sorry." Lena replies, with a sheepish look on her face, "We had a little incident, which made us later than we already were."

Alex now steps forward, along with Ruby.

"You'd think two women with superpowers would actually be able to arrive at the airport on time." Alex says.

"All the super powers in the world don't help you to wrangle two excited little kids." Kara says, with a smirk.

While Lena and Kara are talking with Alex and Sam, Eliza is the one who is helping Alura and Morgan out of the car, with Ruby walking over to them.

"Hello grandma." Ruby says, as she hugs Eliza.

"Hello Ruby." Eliza smiles, using one arm to wrap around Ruby, while she uses the other arm to reach into the car and undo Morgan's seat.

Alura, for her part, is able to undo her own seatbelt, but seeing as she has already been in trouble today, she is following the rules that Kara and Lena have set her in regards to being in the car, which means that she can't get out of the car until her car door is opened for her.

A few moments later, Eliza gets Morgan out of the car, with the little girl giving Ruby a hug, which allows Eliza to walk to the other side of the car and open the door for Alura, with the 6-year-old then jumping out.

"Hey, Alura." Ruby says with a smile, as she approaches her 6-year-old cousin, and takes her in for a hug, "Are you excited for our trip to Paris?"

"Yeah...." Alura replies, in a bit of a dejected voice.

"Is everything okay?" Ruby asks, picking up on Alura's tone of voice.

"I.... yes...." Alura replies, "I got in trouble with momma before we left."

"Oh, well, Lena loves you, so I'm sure that everything will all be okay soon enough." Ruby says, wanting to reassure Alura.

Meanwhile, Alex, Sam, Alex and Lena are having their own conversation amongst themselves.

"I have to say Lena, I have never been on a private jet, and this plane is just.... wow....." Alex says, "I guess it really gives a glimpse as to how you rich people travel."

Lena chuckles upon hearing Alex say that.

"Well, I wouldn't say that the rich travel exactly like this." Lena replies, "This is my own private jet, which I have designed myself with various features that most other jets don't have. So, it's rather unique."

"Of course it is." Alex says with a chuckle, while rolling her eyes, thinking that she shouldn't expect anything less from Lena.

"But, how about we load up all of our bags, and get on the plane, so that we can actually get in the air as soon as possible. It's going to be a rather long flight to Paris, but my jet should get us there faster than any other form of travel." Lena says.

"Right." Alex nods.

The crew of the plane proceed to unload Kara, Lena, Alura, Morgan and Eliza's bags from the boot of their car, with Lena and Alex then handing the crew their car keys, so that their cars can be parked in the hanger, and just left there while they are gone. Then, once all this is complete, everyone boards the plane, with all of them soon finding their seats.
