A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 300 - Kara vs Talia

Kara still holds her wound, at the side of her torso, feeling the pain from being cut there. Kara is unfamiliar with this type of pain, as it is really rare for Kara to actually bleed, unless she is in serious trouble, which may actually be the case right now. Of course though, more recently Kara is used to this type of pain, with her battle with Reign and everything. However, even though Kara might be more familiar with it, it is still not a nice feel, or something that she will ever get used to. But Kara can't think about that all right now, she is still in the middle of a fight with the leader of Leviathan, and she is losing. So, Kara takes a deep breath, stands up tall, and moves her hand away from her side, ready to continue her battle with Talia.

"And we continue." Talia smirks.

Talia, once more, swings the sword at Kara, with Kara dodging out the way. Just like the last time, at the last moment, Talia changes the direction of the blade, but this time Kara is prepared for it, and is able to not only dodge out of the way, but land a punch directly on one of Talia's hands that is holding the blade, causing the Leviathan leader to loosen her grip, slightly, on the blade, but not dropping it. Kara knows she has to capitalise on this moment, and decides to take a play out of Talia's playbook, and aims another punch right in the direction of Talia's hand. Talia responds to this, and shifts her weight slightly, in an attempt to avoid the punch to her hands, all while she still recovers her grip on the sword. This manoeuvre is successful from Talia, but the only problem for the Leviathan leader is, her hands were never Kara's intended target. Just like Talia did previously, as soon as Talia countered, to avoid Kara punching her hands, the blonde quickly changed her motion, and landed her punch right in Talia's stomach. This causes Talia to gasp for her, while also loosen her grip on the sword once more, a lot more than last time, all while she tries to recover her breath from being gut punched. Kara capitalises on this moment by moving towards Talia, so their bodies are only inches away from each other, making it harder for the Leviathan leader to swing the sword if she does recover from the gut punch. Kara then places a hand on the wrist of Talia's only hand that is loosely holding the sword right now, and with all the force she can muster, starts bending it.

"AHHHH!!!" Talia screams, and quickly drops the blade.

In response to this, Kara kicks Talia in the gut, pushing the Leviathan leader a few feet backwards, and causing her to fall to the ground, then Kara quickly turns to the sword, on the ground, and kicks it out of the way. Once Kara does this, realising she can't waste any time, she goes back over towards Talia, who is still recovering. Kara knows she needs to capitalise in this moment, as frankly she has got lucky with her fight with Talia so far, as she can tell Talia is the superior fighter, when they are on equal playing fields, and if Talia does recover, Kara doubts Talia will let her do everything she just did to her again, the Leviathan leader will have learnt from that. However, before Kara can get back over to Talia, the blonde sees that 5 more Leviathan guards have come running in the room, all towards her.

"Oh Rao." Kara mutters.

In this moment, Kara knows that even if Talia is the bigger threat, there is no point being able to finish off the Leviathan leader, and knock her unconscious, if she is then going to be outnumbered, and overwhelmed, by 5 other Leviathan members. So, Kara turns her attention the other members of Leviathan, and goes charging towards them, literally sprinting at them, which seems to surprise them.

As soon as Kara reaches one of the Leviathan agents, she springs in the air, and bends her knees, leading to her hitting the first Leviathan agent, knee first, right in the chest, with them both falling to the ground, and Kara landing on top of the agent. Taking advantage of this, Kara quickly lands a punch on the side of the stunned Leviathan agent's head, knocking them unconscious. Once Kara does this though, she feels herself being grabbed from behind, by another of the Levaithan agents, and being forced to her feet. Once Kara is on her feet though, she elbows the Leviathan agent right in his stomach, causing him to release her. As a result, Kara quickly turns around, in a fluid motion, and now is able to see, face on, the Leviathan agents she is facing. Luckily for Kara, instead of all of the 4 Leviathan agents heading towards her, to try and take her out, they have split up. Two of the remaining agents have now gone over to Talia, clearly to check on their leader, while the remaining two now remain in a fighting stance, ready to attack Kara.
