A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 271 - The Offer

It is now a few hours later, since Reign woke up in the forest and stole the money and credit cards from the couple who were camping there. Over the last few hours, Reign has bought a few things to try and disguise herself, in case anyone from Leviathan were to see her. Reign's first, and most obvious step, was to actually find somewhere that she can lay low in, as she thought that even if she managed to get together a disguise, she would need somewhere private to put it on. So, Reign looked around the city, and she soon found an apartment building which looked to be newly built, and had several for sale/for let signs at the front of this. Seeing this, Reign realised that there would be a lot of empty apartments for her to lay low in for a few days. So, Reign flew into the building, and using her x-ray vision, quickly found a floor which clearly had several apartments without anyone in. Upon seeing this, Reign broke into one of the apartments, making sure to leave no evidence of her breaking in, and settled in on it being her base of operations for a while. The apartment itself is on the 16th floor of the apartment building, and looks to be a one-bedroom apartment, with big wide windows overlooking the German city Reign is in. There is then a small kitchen, all with up-to-date equipment of course. Reign knew this would be perfect for her needs.

After getting place to lie low sorted, the second thing for Reign to do was to try and do something with her hair, whether it is cutting it, or dying it. So, Reign's first move was to try dying her hair, with her settling on blonde as the color, however, the dye just didn't work on her hair, and did absolutely nothing. Reign figured this must have been due to her being a kryptonian. So, Reign's next thing was to cut her hair somehow, but as she was considering cutting it, she realised that cutting her hair without dying it wouldn't really help to disguise herself, and at the same time she might be a kryptonian, but she can't see the back of her own head. Therefore, after some thought, Reign ultimately settled on the idea of braiding her hair, this way she will have more control over her hair, and she can also braid it so it all ties together on the top of her head, thereby allowing her to wear a wig. This, of course, took Reign several hours to do, as that is how long braiding a lot of hair does take, especially when you are doing it yourself. Eventually though, Reign was happy with the results, and she then proceeded to fly to a store to buy herself a high quality, professional, blonde wig, along with a headstand for when she isn't wearing it. After putting it on, Reign was happy at how well it disguised her, the Kryptonian choosing a wig with bangs to better conceal her identity.

Once Reign had her hair and place to lie low sorted, she focused on completing the process of hiding her true identity by buying some clothing that Leviathan, or other people, may not recognise her in. This basically means that Reign has decided to get some tank tops, and white clothing, and casual jeans and stuff, all to keep a very casual style, and not a style that Reign knows Samantha Arias usually has. Reign completed this process by purchasing a set of eye changing lenses, changing her eye colour from brown, to blue. The only problem with these lenses is Reign realises she can't use her heat vision while wearing them, otherwise she could literally melt the lenses into her eyes. So, Reign knows that that does sort of limit her power in a way, as her heat vision is a big part of it. However, Reign ultimately decides that hiding her eye color is far more important, thereby helping to further disguise herself in general, than to quickly be able to use her heat vision. After all, Reign does have other powers at her disposal.

Seeing as Reign has everything she needs now, the worldkiller returns to her apartment, along with everything she has purchased, getting dressed into her new disguise, and starts to plan what she is going to do next. Right away Reign knows that she can't take on both Leviathan and Supergirl, and her friends, by herself. She knows that they could easily overwhelm her. Then, at the same time, the weapon Leviathan has that can actually hurt her is a problem. Reign does think that perhaps she should find Leviathan first, find their main base, and attack them, but the big problem with that is Reign knows that Leviathan agents could literally jump out of nowhere and quickly attack her with that sword, with the base also likely limiting her ability to move around quickly, so that does not seem like a good plan. Therefore, with that thought in mind, Reign realises that attacking Supergirl, and her friends, will be what she has to go with. Reign thinks that if she can take them off the board, she can then focus more of her attention on Leviathan, and hopefully even go back to pretending to be Samantha Arias, and using her resources at L-Corp to help her develop some way to attack Leviathan in general. Then, on top of all that, Reign thinks that unlike Leviathan, Supergirl and her friends might actually hesitate in killing her, because they may foolishly believe that they might be able to get Samantha Arias back by capturing her. This basically means that Supergirl and her friends will be fighting with one arm tied behind their backs, which will give Reign a big advantage, as she will not hesitate to kill them. She has already shown Supergirl how easily she can beat her, and she hopes to do the same again, very soon.
