A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 270 - The First Steps

It is now a bit later, and over the last hour Barry has returned, alone, from the future, and a few minutes after that he went back to his own Earth with Cisco, but not before, once more, telling Kara to let him know if she ever needs any help. Right now though, everyone is just getting ready, washed and showered and everything. The adults know they all need to make a plan, as it's not like they can just all continue to live at Kara and Lena's new home. They need to do something about Reign.

Eventually, once everyone is ready, Lillian and Elizabeth take Morgan and Alura outside to play, while Kara, Lena, J'onn, Alex, and Winn all gather together, to see what they can do. Winn joined the group a few minutes ago specifically to talk about what they are going to do next. The only other person in the house is Ruby, and Alex has left her daughter upstairs, to continue to be by herself. Alex does want to do this meeting quickly though, so she can be back with Ruby as soon as possible.

"Alright. Let's begin." J'onn soon says, basically starting the meeting.

"Yeah." Kara nods.

"I think the first thing we need to consider, is all of our safety." Lena says.

"Agreed." J'onn nods, "But I think that issue can be resolved if we can just find some way to eliminate Reign."

"Eliminate REIGN?!" Alex snaps, "We are NOT KILLING REIGN! SHE'S USING MY WIFE'S BODY! WE ARE TRYING TO GET SAM BACK!"

"Yes.... Alex.... I.... I'm sorry. I misspoke." J'onn says, "Of course we need to try and find a way to just subdue Reign so we can put her in a cell, and then figure out what to do next."

Alex calms down a bit at J'onn saying that.

"Okay. But the problem with that is do we even have a cell that can contain her?" Winn asks, "I mean.... I know we have a cell that could potentially contain Kara, but we have never tested it. Plus, who's to say that a cell that can contain Kara could also contain Reign?"

"That's a fair point." J'onn says.

"I might have an idea." Lena says, "I already know your plans to contain a Kryptonian. But if we were to create a cell like that, and then just add some extra layers of security. Including lead lined see-through barriers, red sun lamps, and a few other things I have in mind, we might be able to contain her."

"Might be?" J'onn questions.

"A might be is better than nothing." Alex says.

"Right..." J'onn replies, "I guess..... Lena, how much time would you need to actually create something like that?"

"I'm not sure." Lena admits, "I'd have to see the cell you have at the DEO first, and then go from there. It might take a day, or two."

"Well, that's better than it taking weeks." J'onn says, "Winn, you and Lena should go to the DEO now, and you can show Lena the cell, and give her any help that she needs."

"Sure. I'd be happy to." Winn replies.

"Okay." Lena nods, "But before we do that, we are going to need to swing by L-Corp. I need to make sure everything is running smoothly with myself and Sam not being there, and I will also need to go to my personal lab to pick up a few things."

"Yes, okay." J'onn nods, "And in the meantime, while you and Winn are doing that, we all will need to come up with a plan to actually be able to subdue Reign."

"Yes. You can't let her do to Kara what she did to her last time." Lena says.

"That won't happen, Lee." Kara says, "I'm expecting it this time. I'll be prepared."
