A Leap of Faith (Part 2)

Chapter 372 - Pearl Harbour

Reign and Trevor are now at the bar, and for a small town, the bar is rather lively, with a decent amount of people inside, and some loud music in the background. The bar isn't packed enough that it was difficult for Reign and Trevor to get some seats, but nearly all of the seats are taken, and it seems that the preferred location for most of the patrons to be, is at the bar, with some sitting, and a lot standing. A part of that might be that at one end of the bar there is a big TV screen, with some sort of sports game on, which a few people seem to be watching. Then, in regards to the music, while it is loud, it is not loud enough so that you have that much difficulty hearing the person you are talking to, which is perfect for Reign. Reign knows she needs to continue to seduce this Trevor person, as he is already essentially putty in her hands, she now needs to just pull his strings so that he can drive her out of this town as soon as possible. Reign won't admit it, but a part of her is actually scared. Scared that with the issues she is having with her powers, with them sometimes coming on very strong, and other times not being there at all, she is worried that if Leviathan or Supergirl and her friends catch up to her, she wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight, and stop them. Of course, even without her powers, Reign knows that she would be able to put up a decent fight, and certainly inflict some form of damage on her opponents, but ultimately, Reign isn't stupid, and she knows that without her powers, the chance of her winning a fight against people who do in fact have powers, isn't exactly that high. However, with all that in mind, the truth is that Reign is a lot more worried about Leviathan tracking her down than Supergirl and her friends, as while Reign certainly won't underestimate the power of Supergirl anymore, she also knows that Supergirl and her friends follow silly morals, where they will not kill her, even if it would have been the most simple and easy solution for them. Leviathan on the other hand, that is a whole other matter. Reign knows that after everything she did to Leviathan, Talia's goal is to kill her, and she already saw evidence of that when Talia tried to kill her by attacking the DEO, even if it was a foolish thing to attempt. Reign just knows that eventually, with all the resources that Leviathan has, Talia, and her minions, might actually just stumble upon a way to actually effectively kill her, with powers or not, and now that she doesn't have consistent powers, that probability is higher. Reign knows that Talia must be wanting to seek revenge, on both her, and Supergirl and her friends, so she is worried that they have already begun tracking her, which means if she stays here, in this town, even though it's in the middle of nowhere, for too long, she will be found by Leviathan eventually. After all, Reign knows that there is a trail that can be followed. Leviathan could find the crater she caused in the desert when she crash landed, then work out the direction she walked in the desert to get to this town. However, Reign knows that if she gets someone to drive her out of this town, then that will really shake everyone off her trail, as it will be very difficult to precisely track her then.

Right now Reign is sitting in a booth, by herself, as Trevor has gone up to the bar to get them both some drinks. Trevor did ask Reign what drink she would like, but in all honesty, even with the knowledge that Reign has from Sam's memories, the world killer has absolutely no clue about what drink to get, and what would be appropriate. It seems that Samantha Arias herself is not much of a drinker, or at the very least, has not been a drinker throughout most of her life due to her becoming a mother from a very young age, and therefore just not wanting to drink because she was a single parent who always needed to be with it. Therefore, to cover for this situation, Reign simply smiled at Trevor, and told him to surprise her, giving him a smile as she said these words, hoping that Trevor just finds it to be another alluring part about her. Thankfully, Trevor did seem to respond to this, and agreed to Reign's request, and went up to the bar. Now though, Reign is sitting alone in the booth, and as she waits for her date to return, she is surveying the entire bar, and trying, in her mind, to figure out what an appropriate thing would be to do while she and Trevor spend this time in the bar, in regards to continuing to flirt with them man.
