It is now a little bit later, and Lena has now completed all her tests on Alex, and she has come to the same sort of conclusion as Lillian, seeing that the redhead has multiple broken ribs, and the bruising has just made things so much worse, and really they won't get a better picture of everything until some of the swelling and bruising has gone down. However, on the brighter side of things, Lena knows that what happened to Alex could have been far, far worse. Alex could easily have been much more badly injured, or even killed. Then, with the injury that Alex has, things truly could be so much worse. Alex's broken ribs could have punctured a lung or something, and that would have caused its own issues, and opened up a new can of worms of stuff, causing Alex even more discomfort than she is already in. So, with everything considered, despite the pretty bad state that Alex is already in, she is pretty lucky. Lena even thinks that in about a week or two, Alex will actually be able to undergo the treatment that L-Corp has designed to help heal bones at a much quicker rate. The only problem with it, is the procedure to do this will require several injections, and won't be able to be preformed until around 75% of Alex's current swelling and bruising has gone down. Lena is hopeful that is should help Alex speed up her recovery though.
So, with Lena's results, she has very much agreed with Lillian that Alex needs to rest as much as possible, and should avoid moving about too much, and even walking on her own two feet, despite her legs not being damaged. This is because, even with Alex walking, as you walk, your muscles in your torso move about, and that action could be causing Alex even further damage. Obviously, Alex is not very happy about the idea of being given bed rest, as she has never been one that likes to sit still and do nothing, especially knowing that everyone else is now focused on searching for Reign and Leviathan. However, Alex also knows that there is no way she is going to be able to argue with both Lena and Sam. Not to mention the fact that she'd probably get it in the ear from Eliza and Kara too, if she does not take Lena and Lillian's rest advice seriously.
Now that Lena is done with all her tests on both Alex and Sam, Ruby and Kara walk into the medical bay, Kara having overheard that Lena had finished the tests.
"Hello, you two." Sam says, with a smile, noticing Kara and Ruby coming walking into the room, "Did you have a good time with Kara, Ruby?"
"Yeah." Ruby nods, "We talked about things."
"Oh? What things?" Sam asks, with a slightly raised eyebrow.
"Uhmmm...." Ruby says, a bit nervously, and then looks at Lena, Kara and Lillian.
Kara, for her part, now understands that Ruby is looking at her, Lena and Lillian because she wants some alone time with her moms so she can talk with them about the stuff they discussed.
"Lena, Lillian, let's give Ruby some time alone with her moms." Kara suggests.
"Oh.... Yes.... Okay." Lena nods.
"Yes, alright." Lillian agrees.
"We will be just outside. Call us if you need anything." Lena says.
Sam and Alex now both shoot each other a bit of a concerned look, and then watch as Kara, Lena and Lillian walk out of the medical bag.
"You know what that's about?" Lena says, directing the question at Kara.
"Yes. I think so." Kara nods, "Ruby and I talked about a few things, including her feelings on everything that has happened. I won't disclose what Ruby said, but I think you can both make a pretty good guess. Anyway, I encouraged her to talk with her moms about her feelings, which I hope is what she's doing right now."
"Oh, okay." Lena nods.
Back inside her medical bay, Alex and Sam still both have concerned looks on their faces, unsure what their daughter wants to talk to them about, but they know it must be something serious.
