Request - The reader gets migraines and keeps them secret from everyone except Kayce. She almost passes out from the pain well working and the guys don't understand but Kayce just brings her to their room and lets her sleep it off or something and maybe Kayce tells the guys what's going on after y/n leaves and is sleeping.

You placed your hand out against the tree to steady yourself. All morning long you had been battling a migraine and it was almost making you pass out at this point. Today was all about sorting cattle, so between the dust and heat, you were honestly surprised you lasted this long.

"Y/N!" Rip called out. "Help Teeter and Ryan get the left line straight for loading!"

Your eyes narrowed as you looked over to the fence where Ryan and Teeter were sitting on. It would take a lot of muscle for you to push yourself over there. You took a deep breath and straightened up, noticing John and Kayce had walked down to join in and help.

You took a few steps and then stopped, your hand coming up to your head as you swayed slightly. Your eyes shut, blocking out the light and you tried to focus on anything but the pounding behind your temples. You felt almost sick to your stomach as the noise around you faded slightly. A hand on your elbow made you wince and open your eyes.

Kayce was looking at you, a deep frown on his face. You knew your eyes were teary because of the pain and seeing Kayce made you drop the protective wall you usually put up when you got a migraine. You weren't proud of them, and they made you feel weak.

"You ain't okay," Kayce said as he looked you over. "Migraine?"

"Yes," You said softly.

"Come on," Kayce moved his arm to wrap around your back.

"Kayce!" Rip called. "I told her to help Teeter and Ryan!"

"I'll do it!" Kayce snapped back as he led you to the dirt road leading up to the house. "Give me a second!"

He got you up and inside, down the hallway to your bedroom. While Kayce pulled the blinds down you sat on the edge of the bed, a tear escaping your left eye. Kayce walked over to you and helped you out of your boots.

"Go on and lie back," Kayce nodded behind you.

You moved until you could rest your head back on the pillows. Immediately, you felt better and opened your eyes back up when you felt Kayce pull your belt from your jeans. He sat it on your nightstand and then sat down by your hip, his hands holding him up and over you.

"Better?" Kayce asked.

"Yes...I'm sorry," You sighed.

"Don't be," Kayce held the back of your head gently so he could rub his thumb above your temple.

You almost moaned with how good it felt. Your eyes shut as you reached up and held Kayce's wrists, your head leaning into his palm.

"Feels nice," You mumbled.

"Why'd you keep working if it was this bad, baby?" Kayce asked you.

"Cause I need to be a man of the people," You sighed.

"A man of the people?" Kayce laughed.

"Yeah," You said. "Want them to know I'm one of them."

Kayce stopped his motions with his thumb, making you open your eyes slowly.

"Think you can sleep it off some?" Kayce whispered.

"Mmhmm," You nodded your head slowly.

Kayce leaned down and kissed your forehead before he stood back up and left the bedroom, shutting your door gently.

You weren't sure how long you had been out but when you woke up it was almost time for the day's work to end. You made your way downstairs and out onto the porch in time to see some of the wranglers piling into the trucks to head into town to blow off some steam.

Kayce was walking up to the house and smiled when he saw you waiting for him. You let him walk up and wrap you up in his arms. You nuzzled into your neck as you sighed into him.

"How're you feeling?" Kayce asked.

"Much better," You inhaled deeply, enjoying Kayce's scent of leather and the fresh outdoors.

The sound of boots made you look over your shoulder and see Rip walking up with John. You got nervous as Rip looked over at you.

"Feeling better, Y/N?" Rip asked.

"Uh...yes," Your eyes glanced at Kayce before answering.

"Good...sorry, had I known I'd have sent you home earlier," Rip nodded before walking into the house.

"How did he?" You looked back at Kayce.

"I told him," Kayce pushed our hair behind your ear. "They needed to know."

"I hate that they know," You frowned.

"I also told 'em if I heard anything from them, they'd be on shit duty for a month," Kayce smirked at you.

"As if I didn't already get enough shit from them for sleeping with the boss," You rolled your eyes.

"Just tell me who says anything," Kayce shrugged.

"No thanks," You playfully pushed Kayce. "I don't need to completely sever all my ties with them!"

"I hate to break it to you, but you're not one of them anymore," Kayce chuckled.

"What do you mean?" You tilted your head. "Why am I no longer one of them?"

"Because," Kayce leaned in close to you. "You're sleeping with the boss."
