Request - I or y/n is 8 months and her and Kayce get into an almost physical fight which leads to y/n or my name scared of Kayce and also leads to labor
"I'm not about to bring a child into this world, Kayce," You snapped.
"This world is what's gonna provide for it," Kayce argued, his temper flaring.
"This world is what's gonna end us all," You yelled back at him, matching his temper. "Look at you!"
Kayce had come home later than normal. He had blood splattered across his chest and after your initial freak out, thinking it was his own blood, the anger of him getting involved in dangerous activities after you asked him not to set in. It also didn't help that you were eight months pregnant and had hormones surging through you, making your emotions play against you at times.
Your child was wanted, but not planned. The arrival couldn't have been at a worse time either. The Dutton family seemed to be on the defense from all angles right now, your husband in the middle of it all along with his father. Your wants and needs tended to be put on the back burner for the most part and you were tired of it.
"No more, Kayce," You sighed, shaking your head.
"No more what?" Kayce asked.
"This," You threw your hands up. "I can't keep doing this with you on a nightly basis."
"Doing what?" Kayce looked around. "I'm fighting for this place; I'm fighting for our family."
"You're fighting for your father," You argued. "You're not doing this for me or our baby...don't group us in with John Dutton's personal vendettas."
"Do you know what would happen if I didn't take care of things?" Kayce stepped toward you. "This place wouldn't be here...you wouldn't be here!"
"I'm supposed to say thank you then?" You tilted your head. "Kayce, do you hear yourself?"
"Do you hear yourself?" Kayce's face was close to yours. "All you do is complain...sitting on your pedestal looking down at me and my family. You have no idea what we've had to do to keep this place alive."
"No one is asking you to do those things except your father," You tried to stay calm, but Kayce was scaring you a little bit. "I've never asked you...to do anything to lead to that."
You pointed at the blood on his shirt.
"You'd be dead tonight if I hadn't done this," Kayce grabbed his shirt briefly.
"And whose fault would that be?" You asked quietly. "Mine? Or your father's?"
You went to walk away but Kayce grabbed your arm and pulled you back to face him. He was rough and though it didn't hurt, it wasn't like him. You reached with your other arm to grab his hand on you.
"Let go of me," You said to him.
"You're always telling me I'm waking away from my problems," Kayce didn't listen. "So now you just get to do the same?"
"Yeah, I do!" You snapped and tried to yank your arm away from him.
"Stop running away just because you don't like how something is done," Kayce said.
You pushed against his chest to try and wiggle out. When you went to take a step, you felt a sharp pain in your side and leaned down with a gasp.
"Y/N?" Kayce's grip loosened on you as he leaned down with you. "What's wrong."
"I don't know," You hissed, holding your side. "I think..."
You were interrupted with a burst of liquid running down your thighs. You looked down, as did Kayce and you felt your heart drop.
"Oh no," You breathed out.
"Did your water just break?" Kayce asked, holding your arms.
"Kayce," You looked up at him in panic. "I'm early."
"It's okay," Kayce pushed your hair behind your ear. "Let's get you to the hospital."
"B-but I don't have," You glanced around, forgetting what you needed.
"Hey," Kayce held your face gently. "Hey...look at me...breathe, we're okay, you're okay...we can do this."
You tried to take a breath as Kayce's arm wrapped around your back. He got you down and up into his truck before he was racing to the closest clinic. You had called your doctor and he surprisingly met you at the clinic doors, his staff rushing you back and preparing you to give birth.
About three hours later, you were holding your beautiful baby boy.
Kayce walked back into the room with a coffee for him and some juice for you. You smiled up at him as he sat the drinks on the table next to your bed.
"How are you feeling?" Kayce sat down next to you and pressed a kiss to your head.
"I'm okay," You sighed. "Freaking out a bit."
"We're okay," Kayce wrapped his arm around your lower back.
"Are we?" You looked at him.
Kayce blinked back at you.
"Yes, baby," His other arm held your arms holding your boy. "I'm sorry for earlier...I'm sorry for all of it."
"I don't want you to be sorry," You shook your head. "I just want-"
"Me to be safe," Kayce nodded. "For me to come home to you...and now him."
Kayce smiled at his boy.
"I can't do this without you," You whispered, making Kayce's eye look back up at you.
"You won't," Kayce said. "I promise."
"He needs you," You motioned to your son.
"I'm here," Kayce leaned in and pressed a kiss to your lips softly.
