Request - Can you do one where Kayce takes you dancing? Maybe you go out with the wranglers and you're not actually dating Kayce but you both clearly like each other and maybe Rip or another wrangler dances with you and Kayce gest jealous? But you end up going home with him in the end?

The bar was slightly warm as you sat on your stool and leaned against the wood surface. It was Friday night, close to ten, and you were actually happy. You had put on your faded-orange sundress and boots, your hair was a little fluffy due to the dancing, and you knew your cheeks were pink from the two beers...but it was just one of those nights.

A bottle was placed in front of you. Looking over your shoulder you saw Kayce standing close behind you, taking a sip of his beer. He looked relaxed, shirt untucked and a few buttons undone, eyes bright and shoulders calm.

"Thank you," You picked up your beer and turned in your seat to face him more.

Kayce nodded his head. Three days ago, he called you and said the wranglers from his family's ranch were going out and he wanted you to meet him. You had stuck up a friendship with the cowboy after his son, Tate, transferred to your class. You taught second grade at the elementary school and took a liking to the kid. But there were some anger issues and after one "parent-teacher" conference, you learned Kayce and his ex-wife weren't the greatest at co-parenting.

After Tate had punched a kid, you had a come to Jesus moment with Kayce in the parking lot. You told him that one more strike and Tate would be out, as in back to his school on the Reservation. That was an eight months ago and Tate hadn't messed up again. You also hadn't seen his mother either, making you assume she might have been part of the problem...but you weren't going to judge.

Over the past eight months, you ran into Kayce a few times in town and after he helped you with some bags at the feed store one Saturday, you found yourself meeting him for dinner...and then another...and then another. After that Kayce was kissing you goodnight on your front porch...then he kissed you another time when he was leaving the bars drunk and stopped by your house, leaving you speechless as he drove away. For the past three months you had seen Kayce periodically, maybe kissed a few more times. But technically, Kayce had never asked you to be his...officially.

It never bothered you, except now. Because he looked so good with the neon lights behind him and all you wanted was to take him home. There were women in the bar looking at him, partly because he was attractive and partly because of his last name, a deadly combination. But you couldn't do anything about it because he wasn't...yours.

"Y/N!"

You and Kayce both looked over and saw Ryan walk up to you. He stumbled slightly as he leaned against the bar. Kayce frowned, but you figured anyone drunk annoyed Kayce.

"Come dance with me?" Ryan smiled.

"What?" Kayce snapped before you could say anything.

You glanced at Kayce before looking back at Ryan. He was still smiling at you, almost like he hadn't heard his boss.

"I want to dance and you ain't dancing," Ryan said.

"She's been dancing," Kayce mumbled.

"Come on," Ryan held out his hand.

"Your beer will get warm," Kayce told you.

You gave him a funny look, thinking that was an odd thing for him to say to you. Setting your beer down, you smiled at Ryan and placed your hand in his. He led you to the dance floor and wrapped an arm around you. It wasn't a slow song, but you didn't have to move fast.

"Think he's shitting himself now?" Ryan whispered in your ear.

"Excuse me?" You leaned back from him slightly.
