Request - I was wondering if you could do one where we see Kayce's sensitive side, he opens up more. He broke up with Y/N she had some things to work on they've been in touch and he calls to say that he can tell she's learned and is growing up and asks her to try again asks her to be his girlfriend again.

Author's Note - So I took a little liberty and changed this one slightly!

You weren't sure why you were nervous. Kayce wasn't your boyfriend anymore. He hadn't been your boyfriend in over two months. But here you were, checking your reflection for the seventh time.

It was just coffee. But that in and of itself made you nervous because Kayce would never just want to grab coffee with you. You had to beg him to even stop and let you get a cup when you had been dating.

Kayce had called you out of the blue yesterday and asked you to meet for coffee this afternoon. He even chose your favorite coffee shop, which was on the opposite side of town for him. It was just coffee. You were just in jeans, boots, and a dark green sweater.

That's all.

You pulled up to the shop and ran inside quickly. It was thirty degrees outside with misty snow starting to come down softly. There was only one other guy in the shop, sitting on the far side reading. You walked up to the register and pulled your hat off.

"Hey, Y/N," The barista said. "Surprised you came out in that."

"Yeah," You nodded. "I'm meeting someone actually...I'll just take a latte, please."

"Any flavor?" She asked.

"Vanilla, if you have it," You said. "And uh...just a medium black coffee too."

The barista looked at you oddly. While that order hadn't been unusual for you, you hadn't ordered that in two months.

"I'll have that right out for you," She nodded.

"Thanks," You turned and walked over to a table in the corner to sit at.

Crossing your legs, you leaned on your arms and looked out the window for a minute. Then you saw him. Kayce walked past the window quickly and came inside. You sat up as his eyes danced across the place until finding you.

You offered him a small smile and a half wave. Kayce walked over to you unzipping his coat and taking the seat opposite of you. He looked good, despite the weather outside.

"Hi," You said softly.

"Hi," Kayce sighed. "Thanks for meeting me."

"Sure," You nodded. "I um...ordered you a coffee. I didn't know if that's what you wanted."

"That's fine, thank you," Kayce said.

As if on cue, the barista walked over and sat your drinks down between the two of you. You smiled up at her as she walked away and caught her curious glance at Kayce.

"Sorry to make you get out in that," Kayce nodded out the window. "Didn't know it start this early."

"It's alright," You shrugged. "You're the one who has to get back in it."

"My truck can handle it," Kayce looked to you.

"Sure," You nodded again.   "So..."

"So..." Kayce offered you a smile. "How are you?"

"I'm...fine," You said. "Just...you know?"

"Yeah," Kayce nodded. "Good...how's your mom?"

"She's good," You took a sip of your drink. "Down in Florida for a week visiting her sister."
