Request - I would like to see one where her and Kayce have been together for about 4 months and he has never seen her without makeup before and one night he sees her bare face and she gets flustered while he's more in live with her and kisses her all over her face, telling her she's more beautiful than he could've imagined.

This would be your first time staying with Kayce for a full weekend. Sure, the two of you had spent the night when things got too intimate or late, but never more than a night. You parked your car next to Kayce's truck out front of the foreman's cabin on the ranch and got out.

You were a journalist and assigned to the Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho region. You had just gotten back from a three-day trip to Laramie to cover a shooting, so not only were your bones tired, so was your soul. The door opened and you saw Kayce waiting for you. He looked like he must have already showered off the dust from being a cowboy today.

You had met Kayce when he took over as Livestock Commissioner. You did a feature article on him and then a day in the life where you spent all day with him. After that, a friendship developed, and Kayce would help you with stories and connecting you to people around the state and sometimes beyond. Then one night, your tire busted on the side of the road. You were on some highway, in the middle of nowhere and Kayce was the only person you thought of to call. He answered and in an hour was picking you up and taking you for a late supper...which turned into Kayce staying at your apartment that night.

"Was starting to worry," Kayce smiled at you as you walked up the steps.

"Sorry," You sighed, giving him a tired smile. "I took the wrong exit, and it added twenty minutes to my drive."

"Just glad you're here," Kayce took your bag from you, leaning in to kiss your cheek sweetly.

You followed him inside and were immediately warmed up from the colder temperatures. You could see he had something cooking in a large pot on the stove as you pulled off your coat. Kayce took it from you and hung it up next to his.

"Smells good," You looked at him.

"I uh...can't make much," Kayce cleared his throat. "But my mom did teach me spaghetti once."

"I love spaghetti," You reassured him.

"You wanna take a shower and change?" Kayce asked, rubbing your back. "It'll be a little bit."

"That sounds lovely," You thought. "Yeah."

Kayce led you back to where the bathroom was and sat your bag down on the counter for you. You had been in here before, but never stayed so you weren't sure where everything was. But Kayce got you a towel and washcloth out, turned on the shower for you before he left you alone. You stood under the water for a few minutes and let the past few days wash away from you. The thing about Kayce you found endearing was he never pushed you to talk about the bad stuff. IF you wanted to, you always could, but he'd never force you. Typically, it made you open up to him more when you were ready.

After cleaning yourself, you dried off and changing into some leggings and a t-shirt. You brushed your hair out and let it hang loosely down your back. You knew the ends would curl slightly and get a little frizzy, but you were okay with it. When you looked into the mirror, you seemed better. But then something struck you.

Kayce had never seen you without makeup. You weren't a vain person, but you took pride in making yourself look nice when you wanted to. Now your bare face was looking back at you in Kayce's mirror. Your eyes looked tired, and you felt like with the winter season starting your skin was a bit dry, but you didn't look terrible.

You guess that since you were sleeping with Kayce, he probably deserved to see your bare face by now.

Walking out after turning the lights off, you saw Kayce mixing the pasta in the large. You passed by a sweatshirt of his and pulled it on, still a bit cold. Kayce looked over his shoulder at you when you walked up to him. You felt a little self-conscious now though because his eyes looked over your face.

"Hey," You said softly. "Thanks again for the shower...I really needed that."

Kayce leaned up from the pot and smiled at you. It was one of his smiles you rarely saw. He didn't control it, didn't try and tone it down or try to be tough. This Kayce was your favorite, but you kept that a secret for now.

He reached around you, his arm pulling you against his side. You let yourself wrap your arms around his middle as you lead your head against his shoulder. He smelled good, and it made you calm.

"You look pretty," Kayce whispered, and it made you open your eyes up.

"What?" You asked him.

Kayce pressed a kiss to your cheek again.

"I said you look pretty," He mumbled.

You leaned back slightly from him.

"I have no makeup on," You told him as if you didn't believe him.

"I know," Kayce stared at you. "I like it."

"You do?" You asked, surprised.

Kayce nodded, leaning his lips down and pressing them gently to yours. Kayce was never a huge affectionate person, he liked to hold you, certainly liked to kiss you and more, but this was a new side to him you hadn't seen yet. He kissed you again as his hand rubbed up and down your side. You felt yourself relax more though, the stress leave your shoulders.

"Hungry?" Kayce asked as he pulled away and looked at the pot.

"Wait," You reached up and turned his face back to yours, pressing another kiss to his lips. "Okay, now I am."

Kayce plated both your plates as you poured a glass of wine for you and a whiskey for him. The two of you settled in on the couch and enjoyed the rest of your evening. You found yourself falling in love with the thought that this could maybe be your future one day.
