Request - Maybe y/n and Kacey just find out they are pregnant and Tate gets angry and takes it out on y/n and she leaves ignoring kaceys yells and end up getting into an accident (babies okay) but she banged up pretty well and Tate feels super bad and Kacey is upset.
You took a deep breath, staring at the little white stick in your hand. The two pink lines were clear as day, staring back up at you.
You were pregnant.
You looked in the mirror and saw just how scared, yet excited you were in your eyes. You had wanted a baby for a long time now, even before marrying Kayce last spring. The two of you had been trying, even though you hated that term, for over a year now and finally you were official. You sat the stick on the sink counter and walked out of the bathroom. Downstairs, you found Kayce in the kitchen with Tate, the two of them making some popcorn for a movie this late afternoon. When Kayce glanced at you, he did a double take, probably due to the large grin on your face. He handed Tate a bowl and the kid walked into the living room.
"Hey," You said softly.
"Hey?" Kayce smiled at you. "What?"
"Um..." You walked around the island and stood next to Kayce. "I have news."
"From the bathroom?" Kayce joked, seeing as how ten minutes ago you were with him and Tate walking inside from an afternoon ride.
"Yeah, weirdly enough," You nodded.
"What is it?" Kayce tilted his head.
"I'm pregnant," You told him.
Kayce looked at you, taking in what you just said.
"What's that?" Kayce asked.
"I'm pregnant," You smiled.
"How pregnant?" Kayce smiled.
"Two pink lines...pregnant," You laughed as Kayce picked you up into his arms.
He spun you around once and then held you close. His lips pressed against your head a few times as he wrapped his arms around you tightly. Tate had walked back into the room with all the excitement.
"What's going on?" Tate looked between the two of you.
"Buddy, Y/N is pregnant," Kayce smiled over at Tate.
You looked, a match grin on your lips, but saw that Tate wasn't smiling. In fact, he didn't look happy at all.
"You're pregnant?" Tate asked you.
"Yeah, buddy," You nodded, leaning against Kayce. "I am."
"Why?" Tate asked.
"Tate," Kayce snapped, and you leaned up confused.
"I don't want a sibling," Tate mumbled, and you felt your heart break.
"Buddy," Kayce stepped closer to Tate.
"You already took my dad and now this?" Tate yelled at you.
That one hurt. It felt like Tate had slapped you.
"That's enough," Kayce growled.
"You hate me!" Tate started to cry.
"No, Tate," You shook your head, but you couldn't figure out what to say.
Kayce walked over to him, and you panicked. You walked out of the room and let your feet lead you to the door. You glanced back and heard Tate yelling at Kayce now, so you left. You got into your car and decided the two needed some time. You felt horrible, never thinking about how Tate might feel about this. You had just assumed he would like it, but clearly not. You felt your phone ringing, so you tried to pull it from your pocket but dropped it. You reached for it but heard a car horn.
A truck smashed into the front of your car, pushing you for a few feet at the entrance to the highway. When you came to a stop, you opened your eyes. Smoke was coming from your car, as you tried to open your door. But how the truck hit you, you couldn't get out. You struggled some, years flowing from your eyes before you gave up and started to cry. Your passenger door opened though and the guy who had been driving the truck looked in at you. He had a large cut over his left eye though.
"I've called an ambulance," He told you.
**
"Okay, ma'am...now can you tell me what day it is?" The EMS worker asked you.
"January the ninth," You mumbled.
"Good," He finished taping up the cut you got on your cheek. "You're gonna be okay...still sure you don't want to go to the hospital?"
"I'm okay," You said, looking at Kayce's truck pulling up.
Kayce was wild as he got out, his eyes searching until he found you. Rushing over, he damn near trampled over the workers before his arms wrapped around you.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Kayce asked. "What happened?"
"I'm okay," You told him. "Just a little banged up."
Kayce pulled you into his chest and you felt him sigh.
"I'm sorry," You mumbled.
Kayce leaned back.
"What're you sorry for?" Kayce asked. "You didn't cause this?"
"Didn't I?" You felt tears come to your eyes again. "Telling Tate, I was pregnant...leaving because he got so upset..."
"Shush," Kayce pressed his lips to your forehead. "You can deal with him in a minute."
"What do you mean?" You asked, snuggling into Kayce's hold.
"He's in the truck," Kayce sighed.
"I'm sure he already got enough from you," You looked up at Kayce. "We should have told him in a different way."
"He's eight..." Kayce tucked some of your hair behind your ear. "He doesn't know what he's saying."
"Still," You slipped off the back of the ambulance and stood up, Kayce's arm wrapping around your back. "Let me talk to him."
Kayce led you over to his truck and opened the back door. Tate was sitting there, looking like he had been crying hard and that Kayce had given him an ass whopping. You took a deep breath and leaned against the truck.
"Hey," You said to Tate.
"Are you hurt?" Tate asked.
"Little bit," You grimaced. "But I'll be okay...my main concern is you though."
You saw Tate's eyes flash to Kayce briefly.
"I'm sorry," Tate frowned.
"I know you are," You reached over the ran your fingers through his hair. "But Tate...you must know how much your daddy and I love you. This new sibling will just be a continuation of our family. You're not getting replaced, no one will be over anyone else in this family...But I've wanted to have a baby for a long time and now I get to have one with your daddy. And he and I are really happy about it. I hope here one day you can be too."
"I do now," Tate sniffed.
"We're a team," You smiled. "We're just gonna be a team of four now."
"You and I will still bake cookies though, right?" Tate asked. "Just you and me."
"Of course," You smiled. "That's our special thing...just like I know your daddy will take you finish when it gets warmer."
Tate cautiously looked at Kayce. Kayce sighed but ultimately nodded his head and Tate physically relaxed in his seat. You looked at Kayce.
"Can we go home now?" You asked him.
"Yes," Kayce nodded.
You stepped back as he shut the door and moved to open the passenger seat. Before you could get in, Kayce wrapped you in a hug again. You nuzzled against his neck and smiled.
"I love you," Kayce whispered.
"Love you too," You pulled back. "Now, take our family of four home."
