Request - Maybe do one where y/n and Kacey are on a break ( he broke up with her because of how stressed he is) and she ends up getting really hurt and Kacey comes to the rescue and realizes that he can't live without her ( maybe like really hurt like real nail biter) and stays with her and helps her recover

You could smell burning rubber, but you couldn't open your eyes for some reason. You could hear tires screeching, but couldn't seem to speak. Then all of a sudden, you felt something slam into your whole left side. It felt like you were falling, but you couldn't move your arms.

"Help me!"

Your eyes shot open, the ceiling of the hospital room above you. The door to your room flew open, and two nurses ran and looked you over. You were breathing heavily, sweat on your forehead. The monitors all around you were going off loudly. One of the nurses reached up and soon there was silence in the room.

"Breathe Y/N," The other nurse held your wrist, counting your pulse.

Your leg was on fire as you winced, breathing out through your nose. A few seconds later, you fell back against your pillows. The two women gave you sad smiles as they looked down at you.

"It was a nightmare," One of them told you. "Your third one in two days."

"I don't need a reminder," You said quietly.

"Would you like some water?" She asked you. "It's almost time to take your next round of medication anyway."

"Great," You reached up with your right hand and pushed your hair back.

You sat up when she handed you the two large pills. Gulping down some water, you felt your breathing return to normal.

The accident had been bad, terribly bad. You shouldn't have survived. In fact, had you had a dollar for every time a doctor or nurse told you that, you could probably pay for all the damage. But it wasn't your fault, to begin with. The drunk driver had hit you doing seventy-five, running his stop sign.

The door to your room opened again, this time the receptionist poking her head inside.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry," She smiled at you. "But the Livestock Commissioner is here and he's claiming he doesn't have to abide by our visiting hours policy...I told him he's not above that rule and well..."

"He's throwing a fit?" You asked her.

"Yes, ma'am," She nodded.

"Well, doesn't look like I'm getting any sleep right now," You sighed. "He can come in."

She nodded and shut the door. The other two nurses checked on some of your vitals before making their way out of the room too.

Flashback

You were fading in and out. They had pulled you from underneath your car, but even you knew you'd lost too much blood. The emergency response guys were securing you to a gurney when you heard your name being called. You looked over and saw Kayce Dutton running toward you. One of the EMS guys tried to hold him back but Kayce slammed him to the ground, stepping right up next to you.

"Y/N," Kayce's eyes were wide and bright. "What happened?"

Your mouth was dry as you looked up at him. Everything around you had been a blur the last few minutes, but seeing Kayce made things calm down, even if it was for just a second or two. He carefully reached under your chin, helping you hold your head up.

"Y/N?" Kayce's eyes watered as he looked at you.

You felt her eyes get tired.

"Sir, we have to move her," The medic said, pushing pat Kayce.
