Request - Okay, so I was thinking that maybe it's a smut and the reader gets too overwhelmed and has to use her safe word and Kayce comforts her and makes her feel loved.

"Kayce..." You breathed out, feeling like you couldn't quite catch your breath.

Kayce's lips still trailed down your chest. Your eyes looked up at the sky as you blinked a few times. But you were feeling lightheaded now.

"Kayce?" You felt your chest heave a few times.

Kayce hummed against your skin right below your belly button. His hands were holding your hips against the large pine tree. Your fingers tangled in his hair, but Kayce took it as you enjoying yourself.

Laughter made you snap your head to the left. You couldn't see the wranglers, their circle was about twenty yards back from where Kayce had pulled you off. But it made you feel like they were right behind you.

Kayce's teeth sunk into your thigh, now that he was kneeling below you. Your denim button-down dress now looked like a cardigan on you, making you feel overexposed to the elements. It might be June, but you now felt very naked.

"Kayce," You said with a little more sharpness to your tone.

"Yeah, baby?" Kayce's tongue glided against your thigh, almost reaching your center.

"Kayce, stop," You panicked. "Tate...Tate...stop!"

Kayce immediately leaned back from you, his grip on your hips loosening to where he was only gently touching you there. His eyes became clearer with each blink he did as he looked up at you. Your lip trembled as you let out a long breath of air. Your lungs finally felt like they could catch up to where you were.

Kayce frowned, rising on his feet so he was now slightly looking down at you. Your hands moved to the sides of your dress, pulling them to overlap in front of you. Kayce's hand left your body, hovering now over you as he looked down. His shirt was also open, belt undone and jeans unzipped.

Early on in your relationship, when things got intimate, you both had decided on 'Tate' being the word to use to stop something if need be. It might sound weird to people, but it was a word that would make both of you stop in your tracks for anything. You hadn't used it though...until right now.

Another round of laughter was heard and you winced, curving your shoulders inward. Kayce glanced off in the distance to where the noise was coming from, giving you another chance to take a deep breath. His eyes were on you again though.

"Y/N..." Kayce said gently.

"I'm sorry," You said as if on instinct, although it wasn't.

You weren't sure why you all of a sudden felt bad about it. Maybe you didn't, it was just a phrase to use when there wasn't another one on your mind.

"Why are you...?" Kayce shook his head slowly. "Did I...did I hurt you?"

You looked up at him.

"N-No, you didn't hurt me," You shook your head. "I just..."

"Did I do something wrong?" Kayce's eyes were looking over your body now.

You sighed, hating this right now.

"No..." You swallowed. "It was me. I just got too...it was too much."

"What was too much?" Kayce asked, stepping closer to you now.

Your head was clear now, so you didn't mind Kayce coming back closer to you. In fact, it made you feel better to have him mere inches from you again. You let him raise his hand and cup your cheek in his palm.

"I-I don't like...I'm just not comfortable with...this," You shrugged your shoulders.

Kayce's eyes looked back and forth between yours.

"Comfortable with me...with us?" Kayce was trying to understand you.

"No, I like us...I love us," You said. "Just, this time...being outside...near all of them was just too much."

It was like you saw the lightbulb flick on inside Kayce's brain. His eyes softened, now that he knew it wasn't the act that had made you uncomfortable, just the location and surrounding obstacles.

Kayce kneeled back down, his hands coming up to the bottom button on your dress. Slowly, he snapped them all back together. His hands moved up the front of you as he worked his way button after button. He got to the one that snapped between your breasts and he leaned forward, pressing a sweet kiss to your skin before he finished his work.

You pulled his shirt back together and while you worked on his buttons, he fixed his jeans and belt back. In a minute, you both were dressed again. Kayce cupped both your cheeks, his thumbs rubbing back and forth before he leaned down and kissed your lips.

A few seconds later he pulled back, leaving you with a smile on your lips. Your hands held his wrists as you rocked back and forth on your heels.

"It's just been two weeks since you've been up here," Kayce told you. "When I saw you ride up...I could only think of one thing. I just needed you and I obviously didn't care about what was around us."

"I want you to want me," You told him. "I just don't want to feel like we're putting on a show for everyone else."

"I don't want you on show for anyone else," Kayce said, his hands moving to your waist.

"Then don't push me up against a tree, cowboy," You laughed.

"M'sorry," Kayce mumbled.

"It's okay," You leaned up and kissed his cheek, his beard tickling your lips. "I love you for it anyway."

"We got a tent, but it's even closer to the others," Kayce told you.

You looked behind the tree at where Kayce's tent was positioned. It was at the edge of the campground, but it was closer to where the wranglers were building a campfire. You looked back at Kayce.

"I can be quiet," You smiled at him.

"Baby...I love you, but you ain't quiet," Kayce laughed.

"I can so be quiet," You frowned.

Kayce stepped forward, making you back up, and hit the tree behind you. His lips came dangerously close to yours. You took a shaky breath.

"Well, there is one thing I can put in your mouth," Kayce said.

"You're unbelievable," You pushed against his chest, making Kayce laugh. "Fine...nothing for you then."

You went to take a step but Kayce pulled you back into his chest. His hands wrapped around your waist as he held you, his lips pressing against your ear.

"Fine," Kayce pressed a heated kiss to your skin. "Let's see if you can be quiet. I don't care."

"You don't?" You asked him. "Didn't you just say you didn't want me on show either?"

"On show? No," Kayce let you go and walked around you, eyeing you. "But having every hand up here...hear who you belong to? That I don't mind."

Your mouth hung open as you watched Kayce slowly walk back over to the campfire that was almost built now. Shaking your head, you rolled your eyes but followed him back.
